Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: The Perfect Maid

A chilling glint flashed through Ōtsutsuki Kyokusen's pure Byakugan.

In that instant, she was ready to act.

She would never allow anyone to insult her young master.

For as long as she could remember, she had carried regret over the fact that her master had been born blind. And now these people—these insignificant nobodies—dared to whisper about it right in front of them, tearing open an old wound without a shred of restraint.

Her master's eyes—

That had always been one of her absolute taboos.

Unforgivable.

Ōtsutsuki Kyokusen was furious.

Her snow-white hair lifted slightly as chakra surged through her body. She raised her pale right hand, and a brilliant white glow burst forth.

A terrifying pressure swept across the entire restaurant in an instant.

The noisy chatter came to a dead halt.

Every single person stared at the young girl in horror.

She looked barely over ten years old.

How could she possibly be this strong?!

This place was not far from Konoha, and among the diners were one or two Leaf shinobi. And those shinobi, more than anyone else, could directly sense just how terrifying this delicate-looking girl truly was.

"How is that possible…? She's barely ten,"

a bearded young man muttered in disbelief from a corner, a cigarette dangling from his lips.

So stunned was he that the cigarette slipped from his mouth—

and he didn't even notice.

He was none other than Sarutobi Asuma, a jōnin of Konoha, and the Third Hokage's son.

"She's a horrifying genius… and her eyes…"

The woman seated across from him narrowed her gaze, staring fixedly at Kyokusen.

She too was a Konoha shinobi—

Yūhi Kurenai, a chūnin with striking crimson eyes and refined features.

At this moment, both of them were shaken to the core.

This was merely the pressure before an attack—

and yet it already made breathing feel difficult.

What a terrifying girl.

"Enough~ Kyokusen. Those who don't know are not guilty. A small warning is more than enough,"

Ōtsutsuki Toneri's light laughter suddenly rang out.

"I am blind, after all~"

His gentle, childish voice carried a soft warmth that caused the violent surge of chakra around Kyokusen to slowly calm.

They were nothing more than ordinary people.

Lowering herself to their level would only make her seem narrow-minded.

Besides—

Kyokusen's pressure alone had already taught them a lesson.

"…Yes, Young Master."

Kyokusen hesitated for a moment, then unwillingly dispersed the chakra in her hand.

Though a trace of anger still lingered in her heart, once Toneri had spoken, she would never disobey him.

As the terrifying, monster-like girl finally stopped, everyone in the restaurant let out a collective breath of relief.

This time, however, no one dared utter another careless word.

All eyes remained fixed on the two of them, as if afraid that the girl might suddenly erupt again.

"Alright, good girl~ Let's eat first,"

Toneri said gently, sensing Kyokusen's lingering displeasure.

"We still have to head to Konoha later."

He paid no attention at all to the gazes around them.

Kyokusen was meticulous, monstrously talented, and always put Ōtsutsuki Toneri at the center of everything—but she truly cared about him too much.

Sometimes, things Toneri himself didn't care about would trouble her for a long, long time…

So this was what they meant by

'the eunuch being more anxious than the emperor,' huh~?

The two took their seats at the empty table, and the waiter quickly brought over the dishes they had ordered earlier.

These two guests—

They had to be served carefully.

If that girl lost her temper again and smashed the place, there would be nowhere for them to run.

"Young Master, according to the route on the map,"

Kyokusen said softly while glancing at it as she ate,

"I think we'll reach Konoha in about an hour."

On this unfamiliar continent, Kyokusen naturally became even more attentive, handling every minor detail for Toneri.

She would never allow her master to suffer harm or displeasure.

"An hour? Then it really isn't far,"

Toneri murmured thoughtfully before smiling.

Konoha—

The starting point of the Crown Prince and the Second Pillar.

The place where everything began.

Byakugan. Sharingan. Sage bodies.

All of them existed in that village.

It truly was a fascinating place.

Toneri's smile deepened.

And more importantly—

His eyes were waiting for him there.

He couldn't wait anymore.

He had long grown tired of the endless darkness before him.

The Rinnegan, after all, could never truly replace his own eyes.

Meanwhile, at a nearby table not far away,

Yūhi Kurenai and Sarutobi Asuma exchanged solemn glances.

They had been secretly observing the two children this entire time.

They were far too strange.

Unusual clothing.

Unusual hair colors.

An overwhelming sense of otherworldliness clung to both of them.

They wore no forehead protectors—

there was no way to tell where they came from.

And that girl—

Her eyes could not be mistaken.

Absolutely not mistaken.

Byakugan.

Yet there had never been any word of the Hyūga Clan producing such an outstanding child.

And more than that—

A girl with such terrifying talent and strength…

the way she spoke to that blind boy, the way she treated him—

She was actually a servant?!

What the hell was wrong with this world?!

Asuma cursed inwardly.

As the Third Hokage's son—Konoha's number one young master—

why didn't he have a maid this perfect in strength, talent, and appearance?!

It made him want to spit blood.

After all, aside from his refined looks and unusually mature demeanor,

that blind boy didn't seem special at all.

If one had to say something—

Well… being blind was special, I guess.

But still—

What virtue did he possess?

To deserve a maid like that?!
