Chapter 60 - Chapter 60

The Breaking of Mi-An

Something shattered inside her.

Mi-An ascended.

Her hair darkened into blackish red, eyes burning with fierce light. Her robes deepened into shadow. Power poured from her body—not to destroy, but to sustain.

She transferred her strength into the remnants of the army.

Saint LuQi staggered to his feet.

The Saint of YiWu Sect rose again.

Nem stared.

"Are you stupid? You'll die like this."

He ascended, closing in.

"You're brave," he said.

Mi-An spat blood at his feet.

"I will kill you."

Nem's expression hardened.

He stabbed her.

She coughed blood—yet continued transferring power.

He stabbed her again.

Then hurled her away with overwhelming force.

She hit the ground hard, barely able to sit.

"Nem…" she gasped. "You'll pay…"

Nem summoned a sword and placed it at her neck.

"All this," he sneered. "And Xiao Yan isn't here. Do you regret trusting an incompetent fool who only knew how to kill his own father?"

Around them, demons slaughtered disciples—though now the fight was even.

Then—

"Nem!"

Di'or rushed in, shoving him aside.

"This is not you!" she cried.

Nem's voice softened.

"Come to me."

Mi-An struggled.

"Don't—"

"I will, but if I do, don't hurt the world anymore. Let's live in harmony uhn." Di'or says

"Di'or, don't!" Mi-An screams

"Shut up!" Nem roared. "Why can't I have the one I love?!"

Mi-An stood unsteadily.

"You're pathetic."

Fury flashed.

Nem stabbed her again.

"Choose!" Di'or screamed.

Silence.

Nem turned away.

"I choose you."

The evil god watched.

Then—

He moved.

A blade pierced Di'or's heart.

Nem heard it. Facing back, he saw Di'or being stabbed by the evil god.

"Di'or!!!"

She collapsed into his arms.

"Don't cry…" she whispered weakly. "The moments with you… were the best of my life…cherish them...for my sake"

Tears streamed down Nem's face.

"I can't live without you!"

She touched his cheek, smiling faintly.

"Nem!..i..I am in lots of pains. Your promise, don't forget it."

Her hand fell.

Nem screamed.

And vanished—with her.
