Chapter 22 - – My Little Sister Is Stronger

[Sushang]: Staying in one place for five hundred years… what kind of immortal paradise is that?

[Fu Xuan]: Is there truly a place so captivating that one would never wish to leave?

[Yanqing]: I'd like to see it for myself someday.

[Yunli]: Sounds fake. Five hundred years in one place?

On the Xianzhou side, shock rippled through the chat.

So the gods of Teyvat were this terrifying?

Before this, the Xianzhou had viewed them calmly enough—technology aside, their combat strength didn't seem completely beyond comprehension. But now?

Five hundred years without leaving a single place.

That alone was enough to inspire awe.

After all, even the long-lived Xianzhou people, despite their extended lifespans, would begin to show signs of mara around eight hundred years old. Spending over half that span in isolation was no small feat.

Seeing the reactions from other worlds, Raiden Ei couldn't help herself. Her lips curled upward in quiet satisfaction.

[Raiden Ei]: This is nothing special. If this game arena hadn't appeared, I could have stayed there another five hundred years.

[Yae Miko]: That is not something worth bragging about.

She said you were impressive and you really ran with it.

As if locking yourself away counted as a glorious achievement.

[Furina]: I don't think that's anything special either.

In Fontaine, Furina scoffed lightly.

Five hundred years?

She'd performed for five hundred years.

Did she boast about it?

[Trailblazer]: I'm starting to see it now—you're all built different.

[Valerius]: Oh? Still chatting?

Since Valerius wasn't participating in this round, he could freely interact with the livestream. The moment he opened it, he found the discussion in full swing.

[Robin]: Mr. Valerius, are those really all the rules this time?

Her brother was inside the arena. Naturally, she was worried.

[Valerius]: That's all. This round is about who can endure loneliness—and temptation.

[Sparkle]: Hey hey, when you go trading with them later, can you bring me along? I really admire you~ I'll be very obedient, I promise.

[Valerius]: Haha. Miss Sparkle, I'm not Jimi.

[Sparkle]: Boring.

[Sampo]: Haha… Mr. Valerius wouldn't be fooled by sweet talk alone, right? A person should be sincere.

[Sampo]: Mr. Valerius, need a lackey? I'll do anything you point me at!

[Seele]: Shut up.

Seele was furious.

How could someone be this shameless?

Inside the Arena

In one of the white cottages, Gepard and Sunday sat facing each other in silence.

The atmosphere was… awkward.

They simply weren't familiar with each other. No idea what to talk about.

"…I heard Lynx is your younger sister?"

In the end, Sunday broke the silence.

When in doubt, talk about siblings.

A universal icebreaker among older brothers.

"Yes," Gepard nodded. "Miss Robin is your sister as well, correct?"

"That's right."

Once the topic turned to their sisters, the tension immediately eased.

"Mr. Sunday," Gepard continued thoughtfully, "what kind of person is Miss Robin?"

Gepard had never interacted much with people from other planets. Since they were already talking about siblings, he figured this was as good a starting point as any.

"Robin, huh…"

Sunday glanced sideways at Gepard, alarm bells ringing in his head.

This guy isn't… interested in my sister, is he?

Absolutely not.

"Robin has been intelligent and graceful since childhood," Sunday said smoothly.

"When she was born, five-colored clouds drifted in from beyond the stars, encircling her cradle. Even the star sea itself sang in celebration of her arrival."

As he spoke, he raised an eyebrow at Gepard.

See? My sister is practically celestial. You're not worthy. Don't even think about it.

[Robin]: Brother… what on earth are you saying?

Gepard was stunned.

Why did this sound so familiar?

Right—this was exactly how some Silvermane Guards talked when bragging at the tavern.

He smiled politely and countered without hesitation.

"So Miss Robin's birth was so miraculous? That's quite similar to Lynx, actually."

"…Huh?"

Sunday froze.

That wasn't how this was supposed to go.

Gepard pressed on calmly.

"Mr. Sunday knows our planet was once buried under eternal ice, correct?"

"There was a period when the snow retreated slightly. Thinking back… that timing lines up almost perfectly with Lynx's birth."

[Lynx]: Brother! What are you doing?!

[Pela]: I can't—this is killing me. I had no idea Lynx had such a legendary origin.

[Serval]: Shameless. Absolutely shameless.

By now, both men had completely forgotten the livestream existed.

All that mattered was one thing—

Out-bragging the other brother.

"My sister's singing can make birds forget how to fly."

"My sister only needs a glance for Rift monsters to kneel in surrender."

"My sister can—"

"My sister just needs to breathe—"

Watching the feed, Valerius nearly spat blood.

Had these two been possessed?

This level of nonsense was unreal.

And yet…

Why did it feel so strangely familiar?

Like he'd seen this scene somewhere before.
