Ren was having a grocery in a nearby grocery store and the moment he set afoot to the door, a rune glowed on his footing where he stood. The next moment, he was sent on worm hole and he was dropped on a dark place.
"Wait, where am I? I am in the grocery store a few moments ago." He protested in his mind. His mom would scold him if he could not go back in their home before dinner. He has to go back immediately. But where? All he could see was a dot of light up ahead. A small shining door up ahead was seen.
And so, he decided to go to the light. It would not hurt to check it out himself. As the path were it leaded was unknown. But he could hear his shoes to sound with every step echoing. He was getting nearer and nearer and walked out from the dark.
All to see a hall that has gatherings of people. Though he could recognize their clothes and it was from Earth. The halls seemed weird in his perspective. As it was in medieval designs of an interior of a castle. He could just be amazed at the moment but seemed to wonder. "Where am I?"
He was about to find the exit of the place but a man introduced himself. He clapped his hands to make him gather their attention.
"Greetings ladies and gentlemen. You are from other world yes?" He spoke. "Let me be precise and concise. You are transported here on Earthea. You are requested to become heroes of our kingdom. We are in need of heroes to defend the last kingdom of humans. Demons and monsters have taken all of kingdoms and this kingdom is the last one."
"Please help us, or your world will be next." He added.
Everyone was silent and were in shock.
"Hey, this world is your problem. Not ours, can we go back to our world already?" A cocky brat talked.
Yeah!

With that, the said man was brimming with aura.
"Choose this day, die in the battlefield or die here right now?" He asked.
All of them gulped their saliva. They all wanted to go home.
"You see, you haven't seen your friends die or your family. If you wait for your world's turn then it is up to you. But, you can't go back to your world. Not until all this mess will end.
"See this, you are protecting your world as we are the last bastion of humanity. Your world will be next. Join in this frontline or else your world will get slaughtered sooner than later." He explained further.
They all nodded and now knew the situation. And so, they decided to help. The cocky kid gritted his teeth as he has no option but to help.
Ren was observing and he was doomed. His mother will get worried upon his disappearance. He has to survive all this and go home.
"Everyone, you will all register to the Adventurer guild and awaken. You will at least have that as a newbie package. More privileges awaits when you rise in ranks." He said.
It was all a sudden, but Ren does not have the power to complain. He has to at least gather information here in this world. And so he walked with the others towards the Adventurer Guild.
Some of them were having a scouting of potential party members or teammates. But Ren was not there yet to ask others. He was still hesitant and shy at the moment.
He saw the exit of the halls and walked on the streets. They saw the situation of the people of the Kingdom. Streets were lined up with torches and then commonfolks were thin but resilient. All those years of wars and calamities made them endure much of the past tragedies.
They were all seen as heroes of this world and Ren sa hope in their eyes. They could feel the warmth and welcoming gazes from them. Ren was excited as he read many mangas and novels about transportation but taken aback as the man explained that it was Grim Dark World not Fantasy World. Ren also wanted to protest as it was not a happy go lucky place where your fantasies were fulfiled but a world of slaughter and gruesome to grim and dark world.
The man then explained that they were sent here from Earth by a magic teleportation. These transporters were sent to the front lines and defend.
Those who will not cooperate will be killed as per the Law of this land. Also, all Male were conscripted as soldiers and were trained hard. They were always on edge as they were the last kingdom. Who knows when the demon army will attack. And so they were always on high alert.
Women and children were their workforce and farmers. Others were taking care of their babies. Also, there was a Law too to multiply as many as you can for the population to increase. The Kingdom will provide necessities in turn. Such Law was implemented as the birth rates were low and the population was decreasing.
He was impressed by such information and he was able to think that this was their current situation. He was able to deliberate and assess that they were in dire straits. They need more manpower from Earth in that case. And so, he thought that in saving this world. More from Earth has to be sent here.
Ren finished asking the man and they arrived at the Adventurer Guild. They all were amazed at the moment they saw the building. It was majestic and castle like. Even has banners of the kingdom hanged on the walls. Some of them felt the excitement and they could not contain to see what was inside. But as for Ren, he has read this on novels and mangas, which make him more excited than all of them.
"Welcome to the Adventurer Guild!" Their guide announced.
