Chapter 3 - Chapter 2 — Eliminating the Hijackers

Mo Guilan trusted her own eyes.

She was absolutely certain she had seen that strangely dressed man board the ship just now—so why hadn't the ticket inspector seen him?

There was no way she was mistaken. And as someone who did not believe in superstition, she was equally certain she hadn't encountered anything paranormal. So why could no one else see him?

After thinking it through, only one explanation made sense.

That man must have been working together with the ticket inspectors. They were deliberately messing with her. As for his bizarre clothing—that was easy to explain. He had simply wanted to draw her attention.

"Hmph… childish."

Mo Guilan snorted softly.

"I already have Fei Hong."

Having reached that conclusion, she boarded the ship and found her seat.

This was a small passenger vessel. Whether in terms of size or comfort, it was nowhere near comparable to the massive ocean liners—worse by several orders of magnitude. The entire ship was divided into four areas:

Passenger seating,

Dining area,

Crew resting quarters,

And the control room.

Despite this, the ticket price was no cheaper than that of ordinary or even luxury liners.

The reason was simple—

speed.

Much like high-speed rail in the 21st century, while ordinary passenger ships took a month or even a month and a half to reach Huaxia, this vessel could complete the journey in just half a month.

Mo Guilan glanced around.

The strange man was nowhere to be seen.

That only reinforced her conclusion—he had to be part of the ship's crew.

If he dares to harass me midway through the trip, I'll teach him a lesson.

Even if I don't have Fei Hong's Foshan Shadowless Kick, I still know some joint-locking techniques…

Ah… only half a month left before I see Fei Hong again.

I wonder how he's been…

Lost in her thoughts, Mo Guilan sat quietly as the remaining passengers completed ticket inspection and filed in one by one.

Ten minutes later, a bald, heavily built man with tattooed arms entered. He swept his gaze across the area briefly—then turned and left.

Soon after, the ship slowly pulled away from the dock.

Nearly eighty percent of the passengers aboard were from Huaxia. As the vessel began to move, smiles appeared on many faces. After being away from their homeland for so long, they were finally going home.

In the deepest corner of the ship, Shaun Cole stood silently.

His white robes blended seamlessly into the shadows.

Earlier, when that bald brute had entered, Shaun Cole had sensed a faint killing intent.

A possibility had already formed in his mind.

Stepping out of the darkness, he pulled his hood lower to conceal his face, drew his cloak close around his body, and moved forward.

As he passed the seated passengers, no one reacted—

as if he simply did not exist.

Even Mo Guilan failed to notice him.

Once outside, Eagle Vision activated.

A multicolored radiance spread outward from beneath Shaun Cole's feet, overlaying his perception.

Through the ship's metal structure, dozens of white, semi-transparent humanoid silhouettes appeared ahead, along with a single yellow one among them.

On the second-floor crew area, several white silhouettes lay motionless on the floor, while multiple red silhouettes moved about.

Just as I thought.

Shaun Cole frowned briefly, then relaxed.

The ship had been hijacked.

The red silhouettes represented the hijackers. Having formed hostile intent toward him, they appeared distinctly marked. The white silhouettes were ordinary civilians, unrelated to him in any way.

As for the yellow silhouette…

That puzzled him.
