Chapter 25 - Chapter 25: No Matter How Abundant the Supplies Are, They're Fake~

Meanwhile, in another corner of the same game, a player with the ID "NorthSouth" was cautiously making his way into the Diamond Queen Hotel.

He had trekked all the way from the crash site, and when he heard gunshots, he wanted to see if he could pick up some easy loot.

Entering the first floor of the hotel, he saw a player's box scattered on the ground. It was eerily quiet.

After observing for a moment, he judged that this was likely left over from an earlier battle, and the danger was minimal.

NorthSouth quickly went forward and looted some useful supplies.

"I'll find a way to the second floor and take a look..."

He muttered as he fumbled through the complex hotel structure for a while, finally finding the stairs leading to the second floor.

As he stepped onto the second floor, his gaze sharpened — a box, clearly different in appearance from player and ordinary bot boxes, lay on the ground not far away!

The system identification clearly read: [Abyss Shark · Reis]!

"Holy crap!"

"Reis's box?!" NorthSouth was both surprised and delighted, almost shouting out loud. "Someone already killed Reis?!"

"Which big shot is so fierce? Wait — this box looks like no one has looted it yet?"

But this huge doubt was instantly swept away by an even greater joy.

I don't care about any of that. I'll take it first.

There's no reason not to take this kind of windfall!

He immediately pounced on Reis's box and began to search through it.

There were no red items as he'd expected, but a Tier 4 helmet and Tier 3 armor still made his eyes light up.

Moreover, Reis's weapon was a triple-barrel shotgun loaded with Tier 3 slug rounds — this set of equipment was much stronger than his own Tier 1 gear!

"Too bad the helmet is broken, and it obstructs the view too much..."

NorthSouth picked up the Tier 4 helmet and looked at it. A thick black shadow immediately appeared around the screen, severely compressing his field of vision.

"A self-isolating helmet, huh..."

"Forget it, forget it. Vision is important — I can't wear this thing."

He decisively threw the helmet back into the box, only equipping the Tier 3 armor and the triple-barrel shotgun.

Equipment upgraded, NorthSouth continued to search the second floor.

Most of the rooms seemed to have been looted, with meager pickings.

Just as he was feeling a bit disappointed, outside a room, he caught a glimpse of what appeared to be another box lying on the carpet not far away!

"Hmm? There's another one?"

"Could it be the unlucky guy killed by Reis?" NorthSouth's heart swelled with joy, and he immediately crouched and ran over.

He opened the box, and after searching for a while, he couldn't help but laugh:

"My goodness! A backpack full of small blues?!"

"And some medkits and ammo!"

Although the individual value of the items in the box wasn't too high, they were numerous — all practical consumables and basic supplies.

He roughly estimated that the value of just this one box of small blues exceeded 300,000 HAF!

"Hahaha! I'm rich, I'm rich!" NorthSouth excitedly rubbed his hands. "I don't know which unlucky fat cat got butchered by Reis and then benefited me."

"In any case, thanks to the bounty of nature~"

Just then, a heavy and hurried sound of footsteps suddenly came from the other end of the corridor!

The sound suggested more than one person, and their steps were uniform and strong.

NorthSouth's heart tightened, and his hair stood on end.

He couldn't tell if these were the footsteps of a real person or a bot.

But in this unknown Longbow Valley, and having just picked up a huge advantage, his strategy was the safest one — to preserve his life!

"No matter if it's human or ghost, I'll slip away first!"

NorthSouth didn't hesitate. He immediately turned and rushed downstairs along the route he had just come up, at his fastest speed.

He knew one truth: survival was paramount, and only the supplies in hand were real.

No matter how abundant the in-game supplies were, they were fake — not real. So don't be greedy and obsessed. Only when they're brought out of the game do they become real HAF income.

"The extraction point is at the small train station..." He marked the extraction point, preparing to extract directly.

Although he still had a few empty slots in his bag, the risk of continuing to search was too high. And if he encountered other players... with his marksmanship, he would simply be giving away kills to the opponent.

While NorthSouth was heading to the extraction point, in another game, on Blake's side—

He and Ivy had already looted most of Haavk Radar Station's supply points. Their backpacks and chest rigs were completely full.

This game, one could say, was looted from beginning to end. They hadn't encountered any real players along the way — only those super-aggressive bots.

"The signal jamming zone is still too terrifying for current players," Blake said casually. "I'm guessing only tomorrow will anyone dare to enter the radar station?"

Ivy subconsciously nodded, but she quickly remembered that she and Blake were using in-game voice chat:

"Indeed."

"Once you enter the radar station, you can't see anything. And without familiarity with the map, you'd probably spend half a day just trying to find those supply points."

Even with Blake — the planner — leading the way, Ivy still found the radar station map very confusing.

New players entering the radar station would probably take ten minutes just to find the large safe. The difference between having guidance and not having it was simply too great.

But one thing was clear: the cost of familiarizing oneself with the radar station map now would certainly be much less than later.

The reason was simple — now, everyone was unfamiliar with how to navigate it. But later, most people would understand how to move, and that small portion of people unfamiliar with the map would be ambushed and killed by those who knew it well.

Ivy shook her head slightly, discarding this thought. By now, the two of them had already left Haavk Radar Station's signal jamming zone.

She looked at the map and said:

"Is that green spot on the map the switch-pulling point?"

Blake quickly replied:

"This is the train extraction point. After pulling the switch, you get on the train and wait five minutes to extract."

"There will also be a large safe on the train. We spawned in the upper half of the map — taking the conventional extraction route would waste too much time. So we can just pull the switch directly."

With that, he directly activated his exoskeleton and ran to pull the switch. Since they hadn't encountered anyone, running with the ultimate ability was faster.

"You just wait by the train. I'll go pull the switch."

The fastest character in the entire game is D-Wolf after activating his ultimate ability. And when he doesn't have his ultimate, D-Wolf's slide-jump is fastest for short distances. But for long distances, Vyron with C4 acceleration is the fastest.

[The Haavk train is about to depart. Hurry if you want to catch a ride to extract.]

The switch was pulled. Now they just needed to wait a few minutes on the Super Star train to extract.
