Chapter 1 - The life that ended to soon

"cold rain soaked the empty streets as I walked home from work"

"My body ached ,my hands trembled from exhaustion. At the age of twenty-five, I almost felt older than most men twice my age.

Another overtime day…

"My life had never been easy.

When I was in eighth grade, my parents divorced. My father ..left us without even looking back, leaving behind a broken home, unpaid debts, and a mother who worked herself to the bone."

"From that day on"

"My whole world changed."

His mother worked at a factory, standing for twelve hours a day. He still remembered her tired smile, the cracked skin on her hands, and the way she pretended everything was fine.

To help her, he started working during high school.

Sleep became a luxury to him. Studying became impossible.

"Yeah.. I had no choice .

I can't see my mother living her life like that

and because of that I dropped out of school".

Years passed just like that,

work, exhaustion, responsibility"

"Then my mother fell ill"

The doctor said it was because of overwork.

That day, he felt like his world had collapsed.

His heart was beating fast his whole body was trembling

He couldn't understand why he and his family has to suffer like that.

Still, he kept going.

Because he had a younger brother.

Because he had a mother who depended on him.

Because he had no choice.

Then suddenly Doctor told him to go out and buy some medicines, because his mother's condition was suddenly getting worse her heart rate was rising.

He started to run and got out of the hospital

and saw a medical store on the opposite site of the road

Traffic light was still green but he didn't have time to pounder on that and strata to cross the road.

And now… this.

Headlights blinded him.

A loud crash echoed through the night.

Pain exploded through his body as he was thrown into the air.

Lying on the cold road, blood pooling beneath him, his consciousness slowly faded.

Is this how it ends…?

Tears slipped from the corner of his eyes.

"I'm not ready to die," he whispered weakly.

"My family still needs me…"

Darkness swallowed his vision.

A Voice Echoed in his mind

"A life of sacrifice… yet no reward."

"A heart full of regret… yet no second chance."

"I will give you one."
