Chapter 26 - Chapter 26 -- First Entry into the Universe

Time passed quietly. In the blink of an eye, more than a year had slipped by.

During this year, Bai Yue's overall strength advanced at an astonishing pace. The various secret techniques he had chosen all progressed smoothly, with the majority successfully reaching the entry stage. More importantly, the cultivation of these techniques continuously fed back into his understanding of the Laws, creating a virtuous cycle.

Among them, Space Law—his primary focus—made the most obvious progress. It officially stepped into the entry level, allowing him to manifest nine illusory avatars, a clear sign that his grasp of spatial manipulation had crossed a qualitative threshold.

After nurturing the Golden-Horned Beast clone, his comprehension of the Metal Origin Law surged forward at terrifying speed, quickly overtaking the Earth Origin Law he had comprehended earlier. This directly enabled the domain-type secret technique Golden Light Realm to smoothly reach the entry stage as well. For others, the initial threshold of this technique was notoriously harsh; for Bai Yue, however, his extreme law comprehension turned difficulty into simplicity.

Today marked an important milestone.

It was the day he and Luo Feng would step into the universe for the first time.

Long before Luo Feng finished receiving his inheritance, Bai Yue had already made a trip to Ancient Civilization Ruin No. 12, retrieving the Black Dragon Mountain spaceship hidden within. The dangers inside no longer posed any real threat to him—only the original owner's self-destruction protocol required caution.

Because his intelligent assistant Long Kui had been provided by Babata and had only been with him for a short time, she might not be able to fully suppress the spaceship's AI. In the end, Bai Yue still had to ask Babata to personally intervene, which naturally made Luo Feng aware of the matter.

Afterward, they discovered that the spaceship itself had sustained damage. Repairing it required an intelligent life of Babata's caliber, leaving Bai Yue with no choice but to bring Luo Feng along.

There was also another practical issue.

Bai Yue's understanding of the universe was still fragmentary, far inferior to Babata—an old monster who had lived for tens of millions of years. On top of that, Bai Yue possessed no universal currency whatsoever. Thus, they had to wait until Luo Feng successfully nurtured his human clone before officially setting out.

During this waiting period, Bai Yue also took the opportunity to clean up Earth.

The targets were the same despicable figures from the original timeline—those who had cowered in fear before the Golden-Horned Beast, only to turn on the families of Luo Feng, Hong, and others once the peak powerhouses fell into comas.

This time, Bai Yue acted openly.

When he struck, he made no attempt to hide his actions.

Only Hong and Thunder God questioned him afterward, asking why he had taken such decisive measures. Bai Yue's response was simple:

"They were scum."

Hong and Thunder God did not pursue the matter further.

Those with guilty consciences—people like Yan Hai—were completely intimidated. Their shadowy activities stopped overnight. For a time, Earth's social environment became unusually clean, earning widespread approval from ordinary people.

When everything was finally ready, Luo Feng arrived.

The Black Dragon Mountain spaceship slowly lifted off, breaking through Earth's atmosphere and ascending into space.

As he looked back at the familiar blue planet, Bai Yue felt a complicated mix of emotions. After two lifetimes of struggle, he had finally grown strong enough to leave Earth behind.

This departure was made by his main body, still deliberately maintained at Astral Rank Ninth Stage.

Meanwhile, his Golden-Horned Beast clone had already broken through to Universe Rank Ninth Stage, granting him an additional clone slot. Without hesitation, Bai Yue immediately nurtured another Earthling clone, one whose appearance and physique differed from his main body.

Unlike the Golden-Horned Beast, Earthling clones were not fixed.

Although he possessed one clone slot each for Planetary Level, Universe Rank, and World Lord Rank, these slots could be reused to nurture different lifeforms—so long as he had fully analyzed their genetic maps.

Inside his ring, there already existed an Earthling clone that had reached Universe Rank Ninth Stage.

The reason Bai Yue deliberately kept his main body at Astral Rank Ninth Stage was clear: the Universe Peak Genius Battle that would occur in a few years.

The spaceship continued to accelerate.

After just over ten seconds, its speed exceeded the speed of light. Space rippled faintly, and the vessel vanished from the Original Universe.

They had entered the Dark Universe.

Contrary to its name, the Dark Universe was not pitch black. Countless faint specks of light drifted through it. Once a spaceship entered this state, it could continue accelerating far beyond the light-speed limit.

The Black Dragon Mountain spaceship could reach fifteen times the speed of light. Combined with the extreme time-space ratio between the Dark Universe and the Original Universe, its effective travel speed became terrifying—capable of crossing countless light-years in an astonishingly short time.

Of course, this was far from the fastest. With enough money, purchasing a spaceship exceeding fifty times the speed of light was entirely possible.

Ten days later, the spaceship docked at an incomparably vast spaceport, guided by traction signals.

After paying the docking fees, Bai Yue and Luo Feng headed straight for the Black Dragon Mountain Empire's administrative building on Qiu Long Star.

Escorted by Flowing Silver Guards, they completed the required procedures and formally joined the Black Dragon Mountain nationality within half an hour.

Next came a crucial step: opening accounts with the Virtual Universe Corporation. Only after doing so could they access the Virtual Universe Network.

"Advanced cosmic civilizations may be strong," Babata said proudly as Luo Feng stared around in awe, "but the truly terrifying powers are these seemingly loose organizations."

"Which ones?" Luo Feng asked, curious.

"The Five Great Powers," Babata replied. "The Virtual Universe Corporation, Great Axe Battle Ground, Universe Galaxy Bank, Universe First Bank, and the Universe Mercenary Alliance."

Under Babata's guidance, the two quickly opened accounts with the Virtual Universe Corporation and the Universe Galaxy Bank. After exchanging account details with Luo Feng, Bai Yue asked Babata for some Dry Witch coins, then parted ways with him.

After separating, Bai Yue checked into a nearby hotel.

He released his Universe Rank Ninth Stage Earthling clone and sent it back to the Black Dragon Mountain Empire's administrative building to register under the name Ji Ning. Ji Ning then repeated the process of opening accounts with the Virtual Universe Corporation and the Universe Galaxy Bank.

This was part of Bai Yue's long-term plan.

Since his main body needed to remain at Astral Rank Ninth Stage for the Universe Peak Genius Battle, its strength was relatively limited. It would be far more convenient for Ji Ning, a Universe Rank Ninth Stage existence, to handle sensitive or troublesome matters.

The main body would remain on Qiu Long Star, cultivating secret techniques and training in the Virtual Universe's killing fields to sharpen combat experience.

Meanwhile, the Golden-Horned Beast clone would stay on Earth, continuing to comprehend Laws and cultivate.

On Qiu Long Star, a Universe Rank Ninth Stage expert was already considered a major figure.

Before long, Ji Ning discreetly sold several Tier 3 origin force weapons through local weapon shops. With his strength, these transactions caused no ripples.

After everything was finalized, Ji Ning's account at the Universe Galaxy Bank contained 78 billion Black Dragon coins. He immediately transferred 28 billion to Bai Yue's account for Virtual Universe expenses.

The Virtual Universe was a notorious money sink.

Annual fees were trivial, but the real costs lay in places like the killing fields—where one could customize opponent races, realms, secret techniques, and combat styles at will.

Once the funding problem was resolved, Bai Yue settled down on Qiu Long Star and purchased a private estate for daily life.

For convenience and security, he also bought a group of slaves to maintain the estate and conduct patrols. All were at Astral Rank—Universe Rank slaves were far beyond his current budget. In any case, Qiu Long Star itself was relatively safe.

Before the Universe Peak Genius Battle concluded, most of his time would be split between Earth and Qiu Long Star. To avoid exposing Earth's coordinates, both he and Luo Feng planned to minimize their returns.

After all these arrangements, the Black Dragon coins Ji Ning had earned earlier were nearly exhausted. With no other choice, he conducted several more weapon sales, replenishing his funds.

This was not without benefit.

Through these transactions—and with Ji Ning's Universe Rank Ninth Stage strength—Bai Yue established connections with several mid-to-large weapon merchants on Qiu Long Star, forming a relatively stable sales channel for the future.

For now, this was limited to Tier 3 weapons. Anything higher would inevitably attract dangerous attention.

At his current level, caution mattered more than speed.

Low-profile growth was the correct choice.
