Chapter 84 Two days later, back home   , nearly two more days had passed since he captured Dragonite.

A luxurious private cruise ship sailed on the azure sea.

The weather was clear, and the sea breeze made it exceptionally comfortable.

After resolving the Mewtwo incident and overseeing the Cinnabar Gym for two days, Xia Mu finally bid farewell to Blaine on the third day and returned to Tsuburaya Island with Professor Magnolia and Sonia.

Many interesting things happened during this time.

  However, some were also unpleasant.

For example, Dragonite's arrival turned the entire Cinnabar Gym into chaos.

  If it hadn't become Xia Mu's Pokémon, if it hadn't been a pseudo-legendary Dragonite…

In short, Xia Mu ultimately had to personally take action, using Arcanine to thoroughly defeat it, finally making Dragonite completely obedient.

The capture was too easy, making it impossible to control Dragonite's wild nature.

Mewtwo had originally planned to subdue it personally, but Xia Mu felt it was unnecessary, because what he wanted was for Dragonite to obey him in the future.

Mewtwo's intervention would indeed stop Dragonite from misbehaving, but it would still obey Mewtwo's commands.

Xia Mu didn't expect Dragonite to be completely obedient in every way, but at least it couldn't disobey its trainer's orders.

After being beaten up, Dragonite was noticeably more docile.

Although still aggrieved, Xia Mu had to sternly tell it what it could and couldn't do.

In short, Xia Mu realized that this Dragonite had been too willful in the past and would need a lot of guidance to become more stable.

Actually, he had used a bit of coercion and enticement along the way.

  ...

In the rest area on the first deck of the ship, Sonia was leaning against the railing.

"I used to hate boating, but now I realize that going out to sea is such a pleasant experience,"

said Professor Magnolia beside her, sitting on a leather sofa and drinking tea.

She didn't interrupt Xia Mu and Sonia's conversation.

Young people have their own topics; sometimes, it was good for her, an older woman, to keep quiet and give them enough space.

Of course, Magnolia had other important things to do.

After several days of testing, the Rotom Pokédex was finally ready to use.

This explained why it hadn't appeared in the previous days; it had gone to Cinnabar Island with everyone, but once there, Magnolia had Rotom absorb data from the Kanto region. In essence, Rotom had been immersed in the Kanto network for days.

Natsuki was also relieved, because he realized that if the Rotom Pokédex had gone to the new Pokémon City, even with Mewtwo's immense power, it probably wouldn't have been able to modify the data Rotom had acquired.

After all, Rotom is a Pokémon, but the Pokédex is an artificial crystal, and all the information it collects is immediately synchronized to the internet…

It's worth mentioning that, according to Rotom, it also made a good friend online named Porygon.

With Porygon's help, Rotom is able to ignore many rules and restrictions.

Magnolia, Sonia, and Xia Mu are all familiar with Porygon.

Magnolia is a senior PhD, and Sonia is a remarkable researcher, even if not the best, and they are dedicated to researching artificial intelligence, so how could they not know of Porygon's existence?   As for Xia Mu, it's because of his transmigrator status.

Of course, he can only express a vague understanding, and then try to gain a deeper understanding through Magnolia and Sonia's explanations.

Overall, Porygon's design isn't too different from the one in the game and anime.

"After you return to Tsuburaya Island and deal with the Pokémon you caught, when do you plan to officially go on a trip?" Sonia asked during their conversation, voicing her long-held question.

Xia Mu pondered for a moment, then replied without hesitation, "It depends on the specific situation. It could be two or three days if things go quickly, or about a week if things take longer. After all, the Quartz Convention is in a month, and I need to hurry up and collect badges, since the registration deadline is a week before the competition.

In any case, we still need to make sure they're settled. If any of them want to return to nature, I won't stop them. Those who want to stay will be well taken care of; I'll nurture them carefully and let them showcase their individual talents."

Xia Mu's words resonated with Sonia.

"That's good. If you encounter any difficulties, just tell me. Although I need to help Grandma verify some data for the next few days, I can still find the time. Also, please don't run off on your own." Sonia said.

As soon as she said that, Natsuki immediately understood. It turned out that she was worried that he would abandon her and set off alone.

"You wouldn't happen to have fallen for me, would you? Want to rely on me?" Natsuki teased, his eyes revealing a hint of amusement.

Sonia blushed on the spot, unwilling to admit that she had feelings for Natsuki, and retorted, "I only like you because you are capable, and I'm going to keep an eye on you. What if you don't treat those Pokémon well? Also, you promised Grandma that you would take me to travel around the Kanto region." Sonia

's explanation was righteous and stern, as if she was afraid others would see through her ulterior motives.

Xia Mu didn't argue with her, but instead watched her make excuses with a smile in her eyes.

Only when Sonia became truly uncomfortable under his gaze did Xia Mu look away.

"Don't worry, I promised you I wouldn't leave alone. Even if I were to leave, I would come and ask you." Having said what was on his mind, Xia Mu's gaze shifted to the boundless sea.

Just then, a group of Water-type Pokémon leaped out of the water, a truly magnificent sight.

  ...

It was two hours later when they arrived at Yuujima.

Because they had set off quite early, they arrived at Yuujima Port around noon.

Natsuki's mother, Mu Xiuli, had already driven over to pick them up, and together they went to the very famous Bay Hotel in Yuujima City for lunch.

Having not seen her for several days, Natsuki truly missed Mu Xiuli.

His mother's care for him was meticulous; she could warm even a stone.

In fact... This proved that Xia Mu had underestimated this mother. Not only did she communicate with Dr. Magnolia without any difficulty, but they even quickly established a close relationship, as if it were between mother and daughter. Even Sonia was stunned.

Her own grandmother was usually very strict and demanding, and she rarely saw her show such rare emotions to others.

It could only be said that Mu Xiuli's social skills and affability were exceptionally strong; even Magnolia... They were all very happy with her flattery.

No wonder, after Mu Xiuli and Xia He got together, she was recognized by the Xia family's higher-ups and gained control of the group.

Having such ability speaks volumes about her value.

Xia Mu even felt that his mother was an absolutely virtuous wife; because of her, his father had been able to rise so high in his career.

After lunch, Mu Xiuli escorted Dr. Magnolia and Sonia to the research institute, where she exchanged views with the staff. After that, she drove Xia Mu home.

On the way, Mu Xiuli frequently asked questions, even mentioning whether Xia Mu and Sonia had developed feelings for each other.

Xia Mu answered Sonia's question tactfully, as he couldn't be too direct; it would be awkward if his mother did something even more outrageous. He

mainly talked about his experience on the trip.

This was what Mu Xiuli was most concerned about.

Even short trips weren't uncommon for the original owner of this body, but this was Natsuki's first time going out as a Pokémon Trainer.

After returning home, Natsuki said goodbye to his mother and went straight to the backyard.

There were important things to do at the company, so Mu Xiuli couldn't stay with him any longer, and Natsuki would have to prepare dinner himself or eat out. Natsuki

didn't think much of it; after all, his parents managed such a large business, it was normal for them to be busy, it would be strange if they weren't.

Actually, after his late-night heart-to-heart talk with his parents, Natsuki roughly understood that Mu Xiuli's constant companionship recently was largely related to his drowning.

Although she had always spent a lot of time with the original owner of this body before, it had never been nearly as attentive as it had been recently.

Now that everything is alright, the worries caused by that accident have faded with time, and life has naturally returned to normal.

  ...

Entering the large backyard, the first thing Xia Mu saw was two young women in lab coats preparing food for the Pokémon.

Lucario immediately sensed Xia Mu's aura and rushed over.

'Luka Luka~!' (Lord Xia Mu, you're back.)   "Thank you for your hard work, Lucario." Stroking Lucario's mane, Xia Mu looked at the other Pokémon in the yard.

At this moment, the two young women also heard the noise and looked over.

After seeing that it was Xia Mu, the two women must have known who Xia Mu was. They exchanged a glance and walked over with smiles.

Xia Mu had heard his mother mention them before, so he wasn't surprised.

Because he caught too many Pokémon at once, his mother couldn't take care of them all by herself. So she went to the research institute and asked for two interns to take care of the Pokémon's food and daily needs.

For the research institute, there was a free research objective; all they had to do was take care of the Pokémon, and they could also get a lot of research funding in return. Why would they refuse?

Talking to the two interns face-to-face, Xia Mu understood their situation from their language and also learned about the Pokémon's condition over the past two days.

Thankfully, he had the foresight to send Lucario back; otherwise, these cloned Pokémon might have really started fighting amongst themselves and caused a major incident.

Lucario, possessing sufficient strength and leadership, acted as the eldest brother, thus suppressing the entire scene.

Perhaps these cloned Pokémon were too naive, unfamiliar with the human world, and struggling to adapt.

This was partly why Mom sought their help.

"You two continue preparing food; I'll talk to you in more detail later." Letting the two women go ahead with their tasks, Xia Mu wanted time to spend with these cloned Pokémon.

Of course, another reason was that the two women were too close, both incredibly beautiful, which made him have inappropriate thoughts.

To be honest, ninety percent of the women in the Pokémon world met his aesthetic standards.

Even ordinary research interns were considered beautiful by Xia Mu.

Fortunately, he was a loyal person; once he set his mind on someone, he wouldn't be easily tempted by other beauties.

  ...

The group gathered at the shore of the central lake, and Natsuki immediately summoned his Arcanine, Red Gyarados, Beedrill, Gardevoir, Charizard, and Dragonite.

Mewtwo also appeared, but it used its psychic powers to become invisible.

After all, there were outsiders present, so they needed to be very careful, otherwise any news leaking out would be bad.

Because of Natsuki's return, and the overwhelming feeling of pressure from the Pokémon he summoned, the Pokémon huddled together, seeking a sense of security from one another.

Charizard's current comfortable lifestyle is the envy of its contemporaries, Venusaur and Blastoise.

"For now, you'll have to rely on your psychic powers to hide yourself. Once the right opportunity arises, I'll find a way to let you not care about the world's gaze or be targeted," Xia Mu said to Mewtwo.

"It's okay. Although humans can't see me, and recording equipment can't detect my presence, everyone here can see me, and you can sense my location with your aura," Mewtwo's words eased Xia Mu's pressure. He had

previously worried that Mewtwo would become depressed, but it seemed to have a much clearer understanding.

Xia Mu, on the other hand, was caught up in this situation.

"As expected, my understanding of superpowers is far from sufficient. Being able to hide my existence so only Pokémon can see me... but not me?" Xia Mu said, a mix of amusement and exasperation in his voice.

"Actually, I've only partially erased my body color, making me undetectable to human eyes and ordinary recording equipment. However, if you scan me with those advanced instruments you humans have made, you can still detect my presence. So, I can't make it so only you can see me," Mewtwo's answer was direct, dashing Xia Mu's hopes.

Turning to the Pokémon, Xia Mu began examining their data panels one by one.

Blastoise and Venusaur were naturally his main focus.

Because they'll definitely come in handy later, not only are they level 55, but all their stats show they're definitely worth training.

Regardless of their strength, they're all from the original top three Pokémon.

Then, there are the copied Pokémon from Xiaotian: Jigglypuff, Rapidash, Ninetales, Vileplume, and Seel.

It must be said that Ninetales and Vileplume are both good, and Seel, being a Water/Ice type, fills a gap in Xiaotian's current Ice type.

The copied Pokémon from Hainan: Gyarados, Seadra, Nidoqueen, Tentacruel, Golduck, and Vaporeon.

As for Gyarados, Xia Mu already has a Red Gyarados, so despite its outstanding stats, it will most likely be left to its own devices or used to breed with the Red Gyarados, since this one is female and Xia Mu's Red Gyarados is male.

Seadra can be trained, but it needs to evolve again. Kingdra's combat power is even more impressive, with a base stat total of 540.

However, this isn't the most crucial point. The main issue is that Seadra doesn't have the Dragon type, but the evolved Kingdra will.

As an early-generation Dragon-type, its only drawback is that it can't fly.

Besides this, Tentacruel could be included in future Poison teams.

Golduck is of average practical use, while Vaporeon will be useful in the future, good for doubles support or team battles.

The cloned Pokémon are: Pidgeotto, Rhyhorn, Scyther, Sandslash, and Hitmonlee.

Pidgeotto can serve as an aerial mount in the future. As the original starter bird, its Mach 2 speed was incredibly popular back then. Natsuki also wants to try it, after all, that kid, Sora, used Pidgeotto to cross the stormy sea.

Rhyhorn can be trained, a future heavyweight Ground-type Pokémon.

Scyther can be trained into Scizor; this move, "Let's stop here," is arguably the best way to catch wild Pokémon in the games, and in the real world, Scizor has even more uses. Sandslash and Hitmonlee are just average, but they can still forge a different path.
