In the Trainer's office, Kaito looked at Tokai Teio, her cheeks puffed in mock annoyance.
"You lazy Trainer, sleeping during the day again…" she said, though she couldn't hold back a small snicker a few seconds later. "I just can't resist teasing you when I see you asleep. Did you stay up late rewriting training plans again last night?"
Kaito blinked, feeling like he'd stepped into another world.
He reached out and squeezed his own thigh sharply. The sting jolted his mind, sending a shiver down his spine. It wasn't enough, though. He stood and moved toward Tokai Teio, cupping her face gently. Their foreheads almost touched.
"Trainer… what are you… doing…" Tokai Teio mumbled, her lips squished slightly from the closeness.
"I'm not dreaming… I've crossed over… I've actually crossed over!" Kaito whispered, his voice trembling with disbelief.
Over three months—more than a hundred days—he had finally arrived in a reality that felt tangible. Alive. Real.
The Tokai Teio in front of him wasn't a model, wasn't a character in a game—she was flesh and blood, living and breathing, right here, right now.
Kaito's heart raced, every system alert and status bar from the game world flooding his mind at once, yet none of it mattered. This was real. He had crossed over—not into some vague parallel, not into a half-real simulation—but into a world where the girls he had trained, teased, and measured in numbers were living, breathing people.
And for the first time in over a hundred days, the impossible felt possible.
