Chapter 8 - Chapter 8

On the second night after revising his training plan, Izuku received a text message from All Might, telling him to report to Takoba Municipal Beach Park at six o'clock the next morning for training.

"Really…? Then does that mean I should throw away my own training plan?""No, maybe I can combine All Might's plan with mine—if I do that, then…"

Another long chain of muttering followed.

"Well, whatever. I'll find out tomorrow."

Izuku pulled out his diary once again and wrote:

February 13th:Tomorrow I'll begin training under All Might— (suddenly crossed out)Starting tomorrow, I'll become a different version of myself.

At five o'clock the next morning, Izuku—who had already woken up early—finished the twenty sets of push-ups he had originally planned to do at night. He had a strong feeling that today's training would be far more intense than anything he had done before.

At five-thirty, All Might arrived at the seaside park. He had planned to wait for Izuku there, but suddenly noticed a familiar figure moving around in the usually deserted coastal area.

"Could that be a villain?"

All Might instantly transformed into his muscular hero form and leapt high, landing atop one of the massive piles of garbage to get a better look.

Below him, a dark-green-haired boy was clearing out an open space.

"Not sure if All Might's arrived yet… well, while he's not here, I'll finish my own training goals. I still haven't completed today's twenty kilometers."

Izuku stripped off his outer clothes, leaving only a white tank top and loose athletic shorts. Sandbags were tied around his elbows, wrists, and calves.

"All right… let's begin."

He started running laps around the three garbage mountains. That morning, he had already run eleven kilometers just getting to his destination and then to the park, which left the highly conscientious—and slightly obsessive—Izuku deeply unsettled.

"This boy… has he been training like this nonstop?"All Might was genuinely surprised.

"But why did All Might tell me to come here? Training? But how exactly…?""Wait—does he want me to clean up this garbage?"

You guessed it, kid.

"A few days ago, All Might said my body still needed training. That means his physique wasn't something he was born with either—it was built through constant effort. According to data and videos, All Might's muscles are always in a state ready to explode with power. And this place is infamous for being filthy and chaotic—so he's using all these different types of trash to train me!!"

After relentless muttering, Izuku finally reached his conclusion: All Might intended to use the garbage here as physical training equipment.

Honestly, his brain worked frighteningly fast.

"You're absolutely right, young man!"

All Might suddenly jumped down from the garbage pile, plunging straight into the sand.

"All Might! You're really early—it's not even six yet!"

"And aren't you just as early, my boy?"All Might greeted him with an easy smile.

"Every time you greet me like that, I can't help but imagine you coughing up blood in the next second…"

"Hey, hey, don't ruin the mood like that!"All Might deflated instantly—but this time, he didn't spit blood.

"Tell me, young man—Midoriya. Your goal is U.A. High School, isn't it?"

"Yes! B–because U.A. is your alma mater, All Might, so if I'm going anywhere… it absolutely has to be U.A.!"

Izuku clenched his fist tightly.

"Hah—an action-oriented little otaku!"

All Might continued.

"I said this before: being a hero isn't a job that Quirkless people can't do—but reality is harsh. And U.A.'s Hero Course is the toughest gate of all. Which means—"

"There are ten months until the entrance ceremony! I have to build my body properly!"Izuku cut in sharply, shouting the words aloud.

"Exactly. And next—this!"

All Might pulled out a thick stack of papers and tapped them with his finger.

"My carefully planned goal-oriented training program—AMERICAN DREAM PLAN!"

Izuku took the papers and examined them closely.

"This is a task-based training schedule. From now on, your entire life will revolve around this!"

"Then… that means… I'll have to work several times harder than a normal person!!"

Izuku felt his blood boiling as he read.

"I'll be honest with you—it's insanely difficult. Think you can keep up?"All Might patted him on the back.

"…I really won't get any sleep, will I…"Comparing All Might's plan to his own, Izuku felt a bit discouraged. As expected of the No. 1 Hero—the plan was terrifyingly comprehensive.

And just like that, the ten months of hell began.

"Move it to the park entrance! Load it onto the truck!"All Might shouted as Izuku carried massive steel cabinets.

Just like I thought—he's using garbage of different sizes to train my body.

Izuku hoisted a discarded car tire. He hadn't removed any of the weights or sandbags; he believed training under heavier loads would yield greater results.

"Hurry up! Ten months will fly by!"

During class, Izuku listened to the teacher while scribbling his own notes.

Sticking with this for ten months is brutal… but will it really work? There are 249 days left. Muscle supercompensation takes about two days—so even at optimal efficiency, that's only 98 actual training days. Five hours in the morning and evening makes 490 hours total.

Garbage cleanup trains the whole body without blind spots… it's not bad, but time is tight. Still, building a body that can adapt to any situation—that's exactly the kind of training a hero needs.

All Might can't supervise me 24/7. If I can't train efficiently on my own, I'll never catch up. First, I'll need to cut down on sleep—but that could backfire—

His muttering stunned the entire class, including the teacher.

The teacher immediately activated his Quirk, extending a long arm to smack Izuku on the head.

"Hey, Midoriya! Did a villain knock your brain loose?! Pay attention in class!!"

Izuku nodded and covered his mouth with both hands.

"With that attitude, he thinks he can get into U.A.? How arrogant."

"Is he actually insane?"

"Maybe the villain scrambled his brain."

"Tch. Deku…"

From that point on, Izuku's daily schedule looked like this:

4:00 a.m. Wake up, run 20 kilometers

Breakfast at home

5:00 a.m. Trash cleanup and training at the beach park

8:00 a.m. School classes, grip-strength training

11:00 a.m. Lunch, rooftop leg and fist training

1:00 p.m. Classes, continued grip training

3:00 p.m. School ends, run home, self-training

7:00 p.m. Dinner, homework, diary

7:30 p.m. Resume training

Every minute of Izuku's day was packed. His weekend schedule was even more insane.

Over the following months, Izuku's body underwent drastic changes.Though his appearance didn't change much, his physical capabilities far surpassed what they once were.
