Chapter 6 - Through the Threshold.

~LENORA'S POV

"Lucian, his younger brother," Lucian spoke as he reached for my hand, his touch sending a spark through me just like his brother made me feel. He pressed a gentle kiss to my palm which was soft and calm in contrast to Zephyr's. My pulse stuttered, caught between the two of them.

Everyone's attention seemed to tilt toward us. The guys looked intimidated by the brothers, their eyes darting between Zephyr and Lucian, like they were trying to access the threat level. The girls... well, they were mesmerized, like they wanted to be wrapped up in their arms, their gazes bright with longing and desire.

I met Lucian burning gaze and something about him made my stomach twist....in a nice way, but also terrifyingly. "Hi," I breathed with a barely audible voice as my lips parted slightly, trying to process the feel of his touch.

"Lenora," I said again, this time more firmly with my eyes locked on him. He acknowledged me with a small, knowing smile, like a secret passed silently between us.

Zephyr's hand brushed lightly against my waist, an intentional reminder of his presence. "We should go somewhere... more private," he murmured behind me, and I couldn't help but to note the possessive tone etched to his voice.

I frowned, a flicker of caution nudged at the back of my mind. I barely know these men and it would be insane if I just followed them.

Don't do it.

My mind warned.

But curiosity and the pull between us—the magnetic, almost supernatural pull won. My feet moved before my brain fully caught up, and I wove through the crowd with them seamlessly.

The party's bass faded into a distant hum as we slipped into a dimly lit hallway. Shadows flickered against the walls, colored lights from the main room scattering faintly like distant stars. Witches, vampires, superheroes costumes of every shape and hue—but here, the air was heavier, filled with something tacit.

A rush of anticipation coiled in my chest. Am I supposed to do this? I asked myself, but desire tangled with something deeper and primal. Zephyr was the only man who had... been able to respond in ways I hadn't thought possible. What did I really have to lose?

'What about your boyfriend, Jason?' A whisper of doubt surfaced at the back of my head, but it was quickly drowned out by the pull of the two brothers and the heat radiating off them.

Without warning, Zephyr spun me around, his lips crushing mine in a possessive, consuming kiss. I responded back, pulling him closer to me, his tongue intruding my mouth with the feel of his silver piercing on his tongue, sending sparks straight to my core.

His hands gripped my waist firmly, as his fingers dug into the soft fabric of my costume. His chest pressed into mine, solid and hot, and I felt my body respond, hips shifting without conscious thought. That subtle friction, the heated connection of our bodies made me gasp internally, because No man had ever... worked like this with me before, not anyone.

I could feel the heat radiating from him, his chest rising and falling with quick breaths that matched my own. The piercing dragged along the inside of my cheek, cool metal contrasting the warmth of his mouth, and I melted into it, my arms wrapping around his neck as if anchoring myself to the moment.

A second body pressed against me from behind, and started sucking on my neck which made me break the kiss from zephyr to let out a breathy moan.

Lucian's presence closed in, his breath hot against my skin as his lips latched onto the sensitive spot just below my ear, teeth grazing lightly in a way that sent chills cascading down my spine.

His mouth teasing in calm, calculated movements that contrasted Zephyr's raw possessiveness. His hands settled on my hips from behind, steadying me as I arched instinctively, caught between the two of them.

"Fuck, dove. The things you do to us," Zephyr growled, crimson eyes smoldering, but my mind was caught in the haze of Lucian's ministrations—soft bites and gentle nips along my shoulder and neck that made my brain foggy.

Zephyr's crimson gaze held mine, intense and unblinking, demanding attention, while Lucian's blue eyes measured and deliberate, claiming me quietly, patiently. The dynamic was dizzying, overwhelming in the best way.

Zephyr groaned as he didn't give me the chance to respond before connecting our lips back, it was more fiery and more demanding this time. His growl vibrated against my mouth possessively, before he tilted my head with one hand while cradling my jaw which deepened the kiss until I was breathless.

I moaned into his mouth while Lucian's lips trailed lower, nipping at the strap of my costume that had slipped down my arm. My pulse hammered, a heady mix of thrill and nerves twisting in my stomach.

Lucian's body molded to my back, his arousal evident through his pants as he rocked subtly against me, his fingers now tracing the edge of my dress, teasing the bare skin of my thigh.

"I want to fuck you in this costume" Zephyr whispered against my lips. His voice was rough, laced with hunger while his thumb brushed my lower lip as he pulled back just enough to speak.

"You like role playing?" I breathe out a response, my words shaky, chest heaving as I tried to steady myself amid the onslaught of sensations.

"Yeah, especially in this outfit." He replied in a whisper, his eyes flashing crimson red and returning to their dark orbs.

Damn, how drunk did I get?

The friction built a slow burn low in my belly, my hips moving on instinct while I ground my bum against Lucian who was also hard, and I was gobsmacked again for the second time tonight. His grip tightened and I tried to seek more of that pressure as he guided my movements with a quiet urgency.

Lucian's hands moved deliberately over my chest, pressing through the thin fabric. I gasped into Zephyr's mouth as Lucian's palms cupped me fully, drawing out a whimper that Zephyr swallowed greedily in a wet kiss.

These are the dreams people don't ever want to wake up from.

Zephyr pulled his lips away from mine, and before I could catch my breath, Lucian tilted my head back and connected our lips in a searing kiss.

Unlike Zephyr's demanding kiss, Lucian's was gentler, yet possessive, his hand wrapping around my neck as our lips smacked together in a wet, intoxicating rhythm.

I was lost in the sensation, my mind spinning, when Zephyr pulled me away. In an instant, my view was turned upside down as I dangled over Zephyr's shoulder, the world a dizzying blur.

A blazing light erupted before us, making me squint, and I confusedly stared at the wall as it began to burn, flames licking at the edges in a slow, deliberate circle, their light casting eerie shadows. The heat radiated outward, thick and acrid, mingling with something ancient and unexplainable.

The circle grew, revealing a swirling vortex. Colors twisted in impossible patterns, and the air vibrated with energy. My skin tingled as if reality itself were bending around us.

My mind was a jumbled mess, unable to grasp what was happening as Zephyr and Lucian stepped into the burning wall with me still dangling over Zephyr's shoulder.

We passed through the threshold, and I felt a strange, prickling sensation, like pins and needles all over my skin, and the familiar hum of the party was gone, replaced by an ungodly scene going on.

The wall closed behind us with a soft whoosh, and my heart plummeted into my stomach as I took in the new surroundings.

"W-what...." I mumbled, my voice barely audible over the sudden silence.

Zephyr chuckled before placing me to my feet and I stumbled, my legs weak beneath me as Lucian's steady hand wrapped around my waist holding me upright.

Zephyr's lips curved into a slow, dangerous smile. "Welcome to hell, little dove."
