Chapter 43 - Moving Into Rias's House

Human World, Kuoh Town.

Tatsuma, who still didn't know how much trouble his information had caused Sirzechs and Ajuka, went to school with Rias after lunch.

The afternoon passed quickly.

When Tatsuma arrived at the Occult Research Club after school, the first thing he saw upon entering was Koneko sitting in the corner with puffed cheeks.

Seeing Tatsuma walk in, she immediately cast a resentful gaze.

"Good evening, Koneko."

Greeting her without changing his expression, Tatsuma took out a gift box.

"Dessert that was just scheduled to be delivered. Want some?"

"Eat!"

Koneko accepted the feeding.

Koneko was in a great mood.

Licking the cream from the corner of her lips with her pink tongue, Koneko said, "Senpai, I've packed my luggage. Can I move into your house tonight?"

Tatsuma nodded. "Of course you can."

Asia, who was sitting not far away, looked up and asked with some surprise, "Huh? Are you two going to live together?"

When Tatsuma, Rias and Koneko were chatting yesterday, she was out for a walk and had no idea this was happening.

"It's not just the two of them living together."

Akeno pushed the door open and walked in, adding with a light laugh, "Besides Koneko, Rias also moved to Tatsuma's house. She didn't come back last night."

"Three... Three people?!" Asia's eyes started to spin in circles.

For her, who was a sister in the Church not long ago, this matter was a bit much.

Akeno said, "Actually, I'm also considering whether to move over. I prefer a livelier environment with more people."

"Four people living together?!!" Asia's head started to steam.

Akeno chuckled lightly. "What's wrong? Does Asia-chan not like Tatsuma?"

Asia lowered her head. "If... If it's Tatsuma-san, I can accept it."

Akeno said, "It seems everyone has no objections. What do you say, Tatsuma?"

Tatsuma agreed directly, "Then let's move to Rias's house."

It would be foolish not to take advantage of a good deal. Anyway, he wouldn't lose out, so there was no reason to refuse.

After discussing the moving arrangements with everyone, it was soon time for work.

After going out to help the neighbor deal with a Cursed Spirit, Tatsuma returned home early as usual.

"Sakiko, I have good news to tell you."

"You're not going to tell me the next round of training plans is ready, are you?"

"I told you not to have stereotypes about me. This time it's really good news."

So you also know that your previous good news was bad news for me?

Sakiko sighed silently in her heart, put down the mop in her hand, and asked, "So what's the good news this time?"

Tatsuma said, "You're getting a raise."

That really is good news!

Sakiko asked, "Why so sudden? Is there another experiment you need my help with?"

Tatsuma explained, "That's not it. I'm just moving. Your workplace will be much bigger from now on."

"Moving?"

Sakiko froze for a moment, a red figure subconsciously appearing in her mind.

"Are you going to live with Rias?"

"Half right. Besides her, there are others living in the new house."

"Huh?!"

"Don't be nervous. Koneko and the others are all very nice. You'll become friends."

"..."

That's not what I'm worried about at all!

Sakiko's expression became heavy, the joy of the raise instantly vanishing.

Working in front of Rias yesterday and dealing with her interrogation was already tormenting.

Just thinking about how much more socially awkward her workplace would be next, she had the urge to run away.

Tatsuma said, "Your new salary is ten times the old one, and it will increase further if you perform well. Do you have any problems?"

"No problem, I'll work hard!"

For life! I'll go all out!

...

Time flew by, and in the blink of an eye, a week passed.

After moving into Rias's house, Tatsuma's life returned to peace once again. However, unlike before, he hadn't received any commissions from Jujutsu High during this time.

A large number of conservative Jujutsu higher-ups were killed. Even though Tatsuma had a just cause, it still inevitably affected the relationship between the two sides. Tatsuma didn't pay too much attention to this.

Aside from occasionally going out on dates with Rias, he spent most of his time on training.

With the weighted wristbands he had just obtained, he was almost constantly in a fifty-times gravity state, undergoing overloaded training. Coupled with Limitless Potential and a bunch of traits that increased training effect, his strength could be said to be growing rapidly every day, increasing by a large margin in just one week.

Using the Devil's assessment method, his physical attributes had already surpassed the average of High-class Devils. Even if he didn't use any abilities and only fought with his body, he could still defeat most High-Class Devils.

"Is it just my imagination? Why do I feel like your growth rate is getting faster and faster?"

After finishing another sparring session with Tatsuma, Rias couldn't help but complain.

"It's actually slowed down."

Casually inserting the wooden sword into the rack, Tatsuma, who hadn't broken a single sweat, shook his head slightly.

"If there were someone strong enough to train with me, I should be able to get stronger even faster."

"I'm so weak, I'm really sorry." Rias sighed helplessly.

She had worked hard in private, but she simply couldn't compare to Tatsuma.

From initially guiding Tatsuma in learning magic, to being evenly matched in the middle, and finally being completely overwhelmed in all aspects. The entire process took less than two months.

It was precisely because of this personal experience that Rias understood Tatsuma wasn't lying. Compared to conventional training, his growth rate in actual combat was even more astonishing.

Buzz!

Just then, the magic circle on the ground not far away suddenly lit up.

"Another new commission has arrived."

Akeno, who was making tea, walked over and injected demonic power to check the information.

But soon, she let out a surprised sound, and the expression on her face became strange.

"Rias, this commission is a bit strange."

"Strange in what way?"

"The location of the client is... London."

"?"

Rias's expression became subtle.

Although commissions occasionally appeared outside the jurisdiction, this one was way too far out.

"It seems like there's an unexpected situation."

Tatsuma looked thoughtfully at the magic circle. For some reason, he had been feeling a sudden urge to go out for a walk since just now.

Glancing at [Good Fortune] on his status panel, Tatsuma made a decision.

"Rias, I'll handle this commission."
