Chapter 53 - Soyo's Request

Before Rias could carefully observe her surroundings, a voice sounded from the front.

"Huh? Isn't this Tatsuma-san and Rias-san? What brings you two here?" Anon, who was sitting at a table, waved and greeted the two.

"Out on a date, stopped by to rest." After replying casually, Tatsuma looked at the girl directly in front of Anon.

"Out with friends?"

"Well... although the process was a bit different, we are indeed friends now."

Anon stood up and introduced, "This is Soyo Nagasaki, a member of the band I just formed."

"Soyo-san, Tatsuma-san is... um, in short, he's a very, very amazing person."

Soyo: ?

What a strange way to introduce someone.

Soyo's eye twitched, feeling that this tool was not very smart.

Standing up and greeting Tatsuma and Rias, Soyo asked formally, "Tatsuma-san, what kind of work do you and Rias-san do?"

"Simply put, we're like a jack-of-all-trades. We take all sorts of jobs."

Tatsuma took out a business card and handed it over. "If you encounter any trouble, you can ask me for help."

"Since you're Anon's friend, I can give you a 2% discount."

"Then I won't be polite." Soyo accepted the business card cooperatively.

After some conversation, Tatsuma took Rias to sit in a corner not far away.

Withdrawing her gaze from the two, Soyo looked back at the tool in front of her.

However, before she could say anything, Anon leaned in first and whispered a reminder, "Soyo-san, unless it's something very urgent, you'd better not contact Tatsuma-san."

"Why?"

"Because Tatsuma-san's prices are very high."

Anon peeked over and. Seeing that Tatsuma and Rias weren't looking their way, she continued, "Unless you're very rich, asking Tatsuma-san for help will make you go bankrupt."

Soyo was startled. "That exaggerated?"

Anon nodded. "It's that exaggerated."

Soyo asked again, "Then how are his business capabilities? Charging so much should mean he's very capable, right?"

Anon thought for a moment and said, "Tatsuma-san can make you fly from Japan to London in an instant."

Soyo: ?

What a strange description.

Looking at Anon's serious face in front of her, Soyo was silent for a moment before sighing.

This tool, as expected, is not very smart.

...

"It seems your reputation isn't very good."

Hearing the conversation between Anon and Soyo not far away, Rias chuckled and teased.

"That kind of thing doesn't matter. As long as my professional abilities are up to par, people will come to me for help no matter what." Tatsuma didn't care about this.

Picking up the coffee and taking a sip, he turned his head to look out the window. "The areas we've walked through so far haven't revealed any suspicious auras. If there are no surprises, the target should be hiding in the other directions."

"Our luck is a bit poor."

A hint of helplessness flashed in Rias's eyes.

Tatsuma withdrew his gaze and asked, "Actually, I could use some special methods to investigate the entire Kuoh Town. But the downside is that it would cause a huge commotion, easily alerting the target. Do you want to try?"

After a brief thought, Rias shook her head. "No, we can't do that now."

"The Holy Sword Users from the Church came to Kuoh Town with a mission, and we don't know the specific situation yet. If they are chasing a wanted criminal, making too much noise might alert their target as well."

Tatsuma made the final decision. "Then let's wait until after we negotiate with the two Holy Sword Users from the Church tomorrow night before making a move."

...

Time flowed by, and in the blink of an eye, it was night.

After separating from Anon and returning home, Soyo lied on her bed and opened her phone. She clicked on her friends list, and the pinned conversation box was as silent as usual.

After staring blankly for a few seconds, she took a postcard out of her pocket.

[Gremory Odd Jobs, can fulfill all customer wishes.]

Looking at the words on the postcard, a hint of hesitation flashed in Soyo's eyes.

If possible, she actually didn't want to use such extreme methods to find Sakiko. But with each passing day of waiting, her patience had been worn away.

Just then, a suitable method was presented to her, and Soyo found it hard to restrain herself.

"Let's just try a little."

After staring at the postcard for a moment, Soyo picked up her phone and dialed the number on the postcard.

Beep! Beep! Beep!

The waiting tone sounded from the phone, and Soyo took a deep breath, organizing her words.

However, just then, the postcard she was holding suddenly flew into the air and turned into a magic circle.

Then, under Soyo's surprised gaze, a familiar figure quietly appeared.

"Good evening, Soyo-san." Tatsuma greeted the young girl in front of him.

"I didn't expect us to meet again so soon. You're more impatient than I imagined."

"Tatsuma-san, what's going on? Are you perhaps a legendary magician?"

Soyo snapped back to reality and asked a series of questions with a confused look.

"I do work part-time as a magician, but my main profession is a Devil."

Tatsuma began to explain the various services of Devils.

After listening, Soyo's expression became complicated.

She suddenly realized that what Anon had said earlier seemed to be the truth.

It was just that she hadn't understood her, which was why she had treated her as a simpleton.

"Soyo, tell me the content of your request."

Just then, Tatsuma's voice sounded again.

Soyo came back to her senses, hesitated for a moment, and then replied, "I want to see someone."

"Who?"

"A friend from my junior high band. Her name is Sakiko Toyokawa."

"That's simple."

Hearing the reply, Tatsuma, who had already anticipated it, curved his lips upwards, a smile appearing on his face.

"It will cost 1 million, please pay."

As expected, it's expensive.

Soyo took out her wallet with some heartache, taking out more than half of her saved allowance.

"Tatsuma-san, when can I see Sakiko?"

"Tomorrow night."

"Huh? Is it that fast?"

"If you pay extra, it can be faster."

"...I'll wait a bit then."

"It seems you don't have enough money."

Tatsuma let out a light chuckle, took out his phone, and added Soyo's contact information.

"I hope you have a good dream, Soyo-san."
