He swung his long leg over the bike and settled into the seat, then looked over his shoulder at her expectantly, with only his red eyes visible. "Well? Get on."
Using his shoulder for balance, and feeling the solid muscle beneath his jacket Adele managed to settle herself on the seat, leaving a careful space between her body and his back. She has clearly overlooked his instruction of holding tight!
"Princess," he said, "You might want to hold on."
"I'm fine."
"Suit yourself."
The engine roared to life and they shot forward with such sudden acceleration that her stomach dropped.
"AH!" She grabbed onto his waist instinctively, pressing herself against his back as the bike sped through the parking lot and up the ramp.
She could feel his laughter through his back. They hit the street, and he accelerated even more, weaving through the empty roads with terrifying speed.
"SLOW DOWN!" Adele shouted over his back, her arms locked around his waist in a death grip.
