Chapter 24: The Arrival of the Ghost Knight
Our story begins from where it ended last time.
We are shown a scene from another world.
Everywhere, death was dancing naked. Countless corpses were lying on the ground.
Among them stood a man, completely soaked in blood.
The air smelled of blood,
– blood dripping from his sword,
– the ground stained red.
Someone walks up to him and says,
"Stop now, Ghost Knight. Everyone is already dead."
Ghost Knight –
He looks at that person with killer eyes and says,
"Next time you touch me, I will cut off your hand.
Now tell me, what do you want from me?"
Placing his sword on the man's throat, Ghost Knight says,
"Speak. What work have you come for?"
Second Person –
"Is this the way to meet your elder brother?
Can't I come to meet my younger brother like this?"
Ghost Knight –
"Do you know how much you love your younger brother?
You think about killing me all the time.
If it were in your control, you would have killed me long ago."
Second Person –
"Will you treat your own brother like this now?"
He begins releasing his power and says,
"I also have no interest in coming to you.
The Master has sent a message for you."
Ghost Knight –
"Speak, Vinjin.
What kind of task is this that even the Master's favorite student cannot refuse?"
Vinjin –
Angrily says, "Watch your mouth,"
and draws his sword.
Ghost Knight –
"Tell the Master this will be my last task for him.
After this, he will no longer be my Master, and I will no longer be his student."
Vinjin –
"Have you gone mad?
Fine, first look at the task."
A photo of a person is shown.
It contains complete details —
his height, weight, appearance, and power level.
Ghost Knight –
"What is so special about him that I am being sent to such a low-level planet?
For a normal human, he is the weakest even on his own planet."
Vinjin –
"I don't know anything about him.
The Master didn't tell me anything.
He only ordered me to bring him back alive."
Ghost Knight –
"Alright. The task will be done.
Tell the Master."
We are then shown that the person in the photo is Navi,
the one Ghost Knight has been sent to capture.
Vinjin leaves from there.
Scene Outside the Novel
Kartik –
"What is happening?"
He is shocked after seeing this inside the novel and asks.
Evil System Window –
"I don't know, Master.
As far as I know, High Lords and High Monsters cannot enter a First Stage planet.
What is all this? Even I don't understand."
Kartik –
"Could this be happening because the system was killed?"
Evil System Window –
"Master, look…
The entire plot of the story is changing,"
she says in shock.
Kartik –
"This is not right.
Everything is going wrong now.
Even I don't know where this novel's story is heading anymore.
When I read it before, Ghost Knight did nothing.
Throughout the whole novel, he only sat on the side and watched everything happen.
He didn't care at all.
But now he is directly coming to First Stage Earth… why?"
Kartik –
"How powerful is Ghost Knight?"
Evil System Window –
"He alone is enough to kill both of us if we confront him.
And he is a complete madman who searches for strong opponents.
That is why he has even defeated his own Master in battle."
Kartik –
Says in shock,
"What a headache…
Now I will have to handle him."
