"The Eye of Insight?"

Uchiha Ryu stared at the unfamiliar term on the system panel, murmuring softly.

At the same time, a strange sensation bloomed within his pupils.

Almost instinctively, he understood its function.

"Nine-Tomoe Rinnegan… activate."

Ryu gently closed his eyes.

When he opened them again, the original purple ripple-patterned pupils transformed into deep crimson, three black tomoe rotating slowly within each eye.

The world changed.

Everything before him lost its color, turning gray and pale.

Buildings became transparent.

Walls, stone, earth—none of them could block his sight.

Far away, countless human figures appeared clearly in his vision, each body flowing with visible blue chakra.

His perspective expanded endlessly.

Up. Down. Left. Right. Behind.

No blind spots.

Perfect awareness.

"…This is the Byakugan's vision?"

Ryu shook his head slightly.

"No. This is far beyond it."

Even the Hyūga clan's Byakugan could only approach near-360-degree vision.

It was never truly complete.

But his vision was absolute.

A flawless 360 degrees.

Ryu touched the skin around his eyes.

There were no bulging veins. No visible changes.

"That's good," he muttered calmly.

"At least I don't look as strange as they do when activating it."

Then—

Something else caught his attention.

Ryu's gaze shifted toward a tombstone in the distance.

There stood a silver-haired boy, around twelve or thirteen years old, holding a bouquet of white flowers.

His expression was cold and empty.

But beside him—

There stood another man.

Silver-white hair.

A green flak vest.

A Konoha forehead protector.

His body was translucent, like a fading shadow.

His eyes were filled with exhaustion, sorrow, and regret.

He stared silently at the boy before him.

"…So I can even see souls."

Ryu narrowed his eyes slightly, intrigued.

"I see."

There was no need to guess their identities.

The boy was Hatake Kakashi.

And the man—

The legendary Konoha White Fang, Hatake Sakumo.

Ryu did not interrupt them.

He watched quietly as Kakashi knelt down, gently placing the flowers before the grave.

Without saying a word, Kakashi turned and walked toward the cemetery entrance.

And Ryu happened to be standing there.

"Kakashi," Ryu said calmly."Long time no see."

Kakashi paused briefly.

"Uchiha Ryu… long time no see."

His voice was flat, emotionless.

Because Kakashi had long been drawn into the Third Hokage's faction, the two rarely interacted.

Most of what Kakashi knew about Ryu came from others.

Only one thing was certain—

Uchiha Ryu was terrifyingly strong.

But today, Kakashi had no interest in conversation.

After a brief exchange, he walked past Ryu and left.

"…Kids these days."

Ryu chuckled softly and shook his head.

Then his pupils shifted once more, returning fully to the Nine-Tomoe Rinnegan.

He walked toward Hatake Sakumo's grave.

The translucent Sakumo ignored Ryu at first, his eyes still fixed on Kakashi's retreating figure.

Only after Kakashi vanished from sight did Sakumo turn.

And then—

He froze.

Because Uchiha Ryu was looking directly at him.

And smiling.

"You… can see me?"

Sakumo pointed at himself, his voice trembling.

"Yes."

Ryu nodded lightly.

Hatake Sakumo stared at him in disbelief.

"…You really can see me."

All doubt vanished from Sakumo's mind.

He stepped forward urgently.

"Ryu… please tell me."

"How has Kakashi lived these past years?"

Ryu did not answer immediately.

He looked at Sakumo with quiet pity.

This man—

A hero who had saved countless comrades—

Was driven to death by the very village he protected.

Crushed by public opinion.

Betrayed by those in power.

"…Pathetic."

Ryu spoke those words honestly.

But since Sakumo asked—

Ryu would tell him the truth.

"After your death," Ryu said calmly,"Kakashi lost his left eye on the battlefield."

"His closest friend died protecting him."

"And in the end… he was forced to kill another friend with his own hands."

"He has almost nothing left."

Each sentence struck like a blade.

Hatake Sakumo's face turned deathly pale.

"…That's impossible…"

"This isn't what I imagined…"

"Minato… the others… were supposed to protect him…"

"And the Third Hokage promised me…"

Tears flowed silently down Sakumo's face.

He had believed those promises.

That was why he let go of his final regret.

Why he chose death.

Using the remnants of his chakra, Sakumo had bound his soul to this grave for five years—

All to see how Kakashi would live.

And now—

Reality shattered him.

How could a father accept this?
