Caption beneath the photo:

"This single slash will change the world."

In the past, Gern's reputation had always been built deliberately.

Scattered reports appeared in small regional newspapers across the Four Seas—

publications that existed before Morgans monopolized global news.

Like stones tossed into the ocean, they caused ripples that vanished in moments.

But fate was cruelly ironic.

This time, a slash thrown without intention ignited the World Economy News' full propaganda machine.

Front-page headlines.

Special editions.

Emergency maritime bulletins.

Every channel screamed the same name.

Because that slash had nearly cleaved apart a peak-era legendary pirate—

the Flying Admiral, Golden Lion Shiki.

Within twenty-four hours, the name "Heavenquake" swept across the Grand Line like a tsunami.

From Marineford to the New World.

From Mary Geoise to Fish-Man Island.

Every corner of the world echoed with the name of the man who had nearly rewritten the balance of power.

New World — Whitebeard Pirates · Moby Dick

Four years had passed.

The Whitebeard Pirates were now fully formed.

Future commanders stood proudly aboard the ship, while Whitebeard reveled in the joy of gathering sons.

"Gurararara! Shiki—if he'd been just a little stronger, you'd already be dead!"

Whitebeard lounged in his deck chair, white captain's hat tilted back, chest bare and scarred.

His booming laughter shook the deck as he held the day's newspaper in one hand.

Marco, Jozu, Vista, and the others crowded around immediately.

"Old man… is this really true?" Marco's eyes widened, his expression stiff.

Whitebeard slammed the paper onto the table, set down his sake bowl heavily.

"That brat who blocked my strike three years ago—now he's carved Shiki into that state!"

A spark of admiration flashed in his eyes.

"Marco, didn't I tell you?

That kid said he'd make his name echo across the seas—and he did it!"

"Gurararara! I really want to fight him again!"

Jozu scratched his head, still in disbelief.

"Golden Lion is a legend on the same level as Roger and you, Pops…

and he was wounded by a rookie Marine?"

Vista narrowed his eyes thoughtfully.

"But that title—'Heavenquake'…"

"Hmph." Marco suddenly spoke.

"Because that Marine's ability is almost identical to Pops'."

The deck exploded in reaction.

"WHAT?!"

"Identical to Old Man's ability?!"

"That's the power that can destroy the world!"

Marco smirked internally—

Feels good knowing something everyone else doesn't.

He began recounting what happened years ago in the West Blue.

The crew listened, stunned—especially at the part where Gern clashed head-on with Whitebeard.

"So doesn't that mean he pulled this off using the same Devil Fruit as Pops?" Jozu muttered.

Bonk.

Whitebeard smacked his head with the handle of Murakumogiri.

"Idiot. Gern's power is far more terrifying than mine."

He took a long swig of sake, eyes narrowing.

"And this time—he didn't rely on his fruit at all."

"Gern…"

Whitebeard's gaze grew deep and distant.

"That kid might become the most troublesome enemy we'll ever face."

Elsewhere in the New World — Roger Pirates · Oro Jackson

"CAPTAIN!! CAPTAIN ROGER!! THIS IS BAD!!!"

Buggy came sprinting from the stern, newspaper in hand, screaming at the top of his lungs.

"Golden Lion got cut down by the Navy!!!"

"WHAT?!"

Five-year-old Shanks snatched the paper, eyes bulging.

"Golden Lion was cut down?!"

"Why would I lie?!" Buggy clutched Shanks' shoulders, sweating.

Shanks swallowed hard, staring at the image.

"That's Golden Lion… even Captain Roger takes him seriously…"

"What's going on…"

Scopper Gaban leaned in—and froze when he saw Shiki's expression.

Rayleigh adjusted his glasses, studying the purple-black slash.

"That attack… Conqueror's Haki?"

Roger, who had been fishing, turned around with a grin.

"What's all the shouting about this early?"

"Roger." Rayleigh handed him the paper solemnly.

"Shiki… took a massive loss."

Roger scanned it once.

Then burst out laughing.

"Hahahaha! So Shiki finally got his!"

"Captain!" Gaban frowned.

"That slash—if it hit me, I wouldn't escape like Shiki did."

Roger wiped tears from his eyes.

"I know, I know."

As the others drifted away, the deck quieted.

Roger sat on the railing, gazing at the horizon.

Rayleigh stood beside him.

"You recognized it, didn't you?" Rayleigh said softly.

Roger smiled faintly.

"Of course…

That's Rocks' proudest creation."

Rayleigh caught the look in his eyes—

a mix of battle intent and nostalgia.

"To think…" Roger jumped down, coat billowing.

"That blade chose a Marine brat."

He grinned at Rayleigh, eyes burning.

"Isn't that fascinating?"

Rayleigh chuckled.

"Fate, just like you always say."

"The new era's waves… are bigger than we imagined."

Roger laughed loudly, spreading his arms.

"I really want to fight that 'Heavenquake' right now!"

"After all…

Rocks' blade isn't something just anyone can wield."

Flying Pirates · Flying Lion

BOOM!!!

The palace trembled under a burst of Conqueror's Haki as priceless decorations shattered.

"GERN!!!"

Golden Lion Shiki roared, bandages around his torso soaked red.

The massive scar—from shoulder to abdomen—would be a permanent mark of humiliation.

"Admiral… your wound…" Dr. Indigo stammered.

"SHUT UP!!"

Shiki turned, Haki exploding outward, forcing pirates to their knees.

His gaze locked onto the newspaper—

onto that grotesque image of himself.

"That brat… must die."

"Pass the order!"

From this day onward—

the Flying Pirates will hunt 'Heavenquake' Gern without mercy.

"Kill him, and I'll give you anything."

"I'll dye the entire sea red with his blood!"

Marine Battleship — Infirmary

While the world burned with discussion—

Gern sat quietly by the window.

The black blade Bahuang stood beside his bed, unwrapped, reflecting cold light.

Outside, Zephyr stood holding a breakfast tray.

"You're awake, Gern."

Gern turned his head slightly.

"Teacher Zephyr…"

Zephyr smiled faintly.

"That slash of yours nearly changed the world."

"The man who shattered the sky."

"From today on—

the name 'Heavenquake' will shake the era."
