"Professor?"
This was the same professor who had helped Severine through the drug trials.
For some reason, the old man had requested an urgent meeting late at night. She had no choice but to ask him to come directly to her home.
"What is it? Is there something wrong with the drug?"
If there was anything problematic, Severine's carefully built image as a business prodigy would show cracks.
This wasn't the time to let her rivals get an inch.
"Oh no, not that," the old man waved his hand in dismissal.
He took a sip of his tea, relishing the sweet taste.
"I will leave for another place in a few hours. Thought I'd give you a heads-up on something the administration of Awakeners has decided."
"Ah, that's... good." Severine was relieved it wasn't related to the medicine.
What else was there to worry about?
"But before that, let me ask you a question," the professor said. "How is your ability to predict? Can you see visions now?"
