"And Louis...I can't count the number of time he's visited the hospital in the past six years." She laughed. "First, it was to ask for your whereabouts and now it's to treat his sickly daughter." Tanya, muttered as she filled me in on all that's been happening in the pack, especially in Louis's life in the past six years.
"Well, it's called karma." I shrugged.
Louis used to complain about Zoya's continuous illness. We were both medically fit, why was our child so sickly?
Who would have thought that his precious lover would end up having a child just as sickly?
"Or did Zoya come back just to pay him back for all the torture?" Tanya muttered and we both laughed.
If I believed in reincarnation, I'd say that were true because Louis hated the fact that Zoya was always sick. Plus Annie already had a child who came out healthy, why was her child with Louis sickly?
Turns out fate wasn't partial after all.
"What time is your meeting with your client?" Tanya asks as I step out of the bathroom.
"2pm," I replied as I applied my face cream.
"I have a meeting with Louis. He wants me to work with a doctor his uncle just hired. He doesn't seem to trust the man."
Tanya grunted with displeasure. Her hatred for Louis was written all over her face.
"Louis trusts no one but himself." I hissed as I picked my handbag.
"If he wasn't my Alpha, I'd have him..." She signaled with her finger crossing her neck.
We left the apartment and Tanya drove off in her car while I flagged a cab. Sh had offered to drop me, but I don't want her getting into trouble with Louis, so I declined.
I also didn't want Louis finding out that I was back in the city.
