Tomasz's apartment was small. Warm. Books on shelves. Soft lamp light.
My mother arrived at 8:22.
Simple navy dress. Hair loose. Small smile.
He opened the door.
They hugged.
She kissed him first.
Soft.
Then deeper.
I watched from the car across the street. Feed from the button camera.
Kasia beside me.
They moved inside.
Dinner was simple. Pasta. Wine.
They talked.
Laughed.
She touched his face.
He kissed her palm.
After dinner, they moved to the couch.
Wine glasses set aside.
She straddled him.
Rode him slow.
Her dress hiked up.
His hands on her hips.
She moaned softly.
He whispered something.
She laughed.
Breathless.
They finished.
Quiet.
She curled into him.
Spoke.
"I haven't felt this… free in years."
He kissed her hair.
"You deserve it."
She sighed.
"I know what my son is doing. I know why."
Tomasz stayed silent.
