Chapter 82 - Chapter 82 The Origin of Spider-Gwen

Samira's gasp startled even Luca.

"It's me."

With that, Luca quickly twisted the knob on his Transformation Watch, changing back to his original appearance.

Seeing this, Samira looked at the watch on Luca's wrist with a surprised expression, then let out a sigh of relief, silently scolding herself for overreacting, and immediately said again,

"Young Master, the girl you brought back has woken up."

Luca looked at the clock nearby.

Only then did he realize that several hours had passed just synthesizing two new items and testing the Transformation Watch; it was already close to midnight.

However, after considering it for a moment, he still said,

"Let's go, then, let's go see her."

"How is she doing now?"

Hearing Luca's question, Samira's expression was a little strange, but she immediately replied,

"White detected that her physical condition is stable, but her mental state seems to be not very good."

Luca didn't think much of it and quickly went upstairs to Gwen's room.

However, upon seeing her, he understood what Samira meant by 'mental state not very good.'

At this moment, inside the room, this Gwen, who was suspected to be from another dimension, was completely wrapped in bandages and resting obediently on the bed.

However, her eyes were very dull, and she just stared blankly ahead, not even reacting in the slightest when Luca entered the room.

Seeing her like this, Luca also asked White, who was beside him, with some confusion,

"White, what's her situation now?"

"The patient's injuries are stable, and current neurotransmitter activity is low but still within the normal range, with no severe sequelae," White's mechanical voice quickly responded.

Luca took two steps forward and stood in front of Gwen, momentarily unsure how to speak.

Ultimately, Luca chose to bring her back purely because of her identity as 'Spider-Gwen.'

Now, even he didn't know how to deal with her.

"Ahem, well, I attacked you earlier because I mistook you for Bandits. You didn't have a phone or ID on you, so now that you're awake, I can help contact your family to pick you up."

Although he said 'contact your family to pick you up,' Luca had already concluded in his heart that she was a visitor from another World. Saying this now was just to try and get information from her, to see how she ended up in this World.

However, after hearing Luca's words, the girl in front of him just stiffly turned her head to glance at Luca, then turned back to her dazed state, not saying a single word throughout.

'This… could it be that Harro damaged her brain? That little thing is truly sinful!'

Luca, who was shifting responsibility in his mind, seeing that she was so uncooperative, simply turned to Samira and said,

"Aunt Samira, please step out for a moment."

Samira, though a bit surprised, chose to obey and walked out of the room.

Before closing the door, she softly reminded him,

"Young Master, I'll be waiting outside the door. Call me anytime if you have any problems!"

After watching Samira leave, Luca pulled over a chair and sat by the bed.

Looking at Gwen, who was still silent, he pondered for a moment before speaking again.

"Gwen Stacy?"

Though his tone was a question, Luca's eyes held an undeniable certainty.

And sure enough, upon hearing that name, Gwen, who had been looking half-dead, trembled slightly and quickly turned to look at Luca.

The dullness in her eyes was completely replaced by astonishment.

She asked with a trembling voice,

"You… you know me?!"

Hearing her finally speak, Luca, feeling he had regained control, put his signature smile back on his face.

He said cheerfully,

"Of course, I know you…"

Hearing this, the light in Gwen's eyes on the bed brightened even more.

However, Luca's latter half of the sentence seemed to plunge her back into despair.

"…We just met this afternoon."

As soon as these words came out, Gwen, who had seemingly been expecting something, once again looked disheartened.

This time, she didn't choose to remain silent, but simply said in a calm tone,

"I'm not her…"

Although through this conversation, Gwen learned that another version of herself existed in this World, such news actually had no effect on her current predicament.

In this World without Kingpin and without a particle collider, she could die at any time due to the repulsion of parallel Worlds.

At this moment, a thought of giving up had already risen in Gwen's heart.

However, the next moment, Luca spoke again.

"Of course, I know you're not her. Tell me, how did you come to this World?"

Hearing this, Gwen, who had already prepared to quietly wait for death, immediately looked at Luca with a surprised expression and asked in disbelief,

"You… you know I'm from another World?!!!"

"Is it hard to guess?"

Luca showed a profound expression on his face, but what he was thinking in his head was,

'Why does this Gwen seem a little dull?'

No matter what Luca was thinking, in this back-and-forth, Gwen, whose emotions were already somewhat out of control, was like grasping at the last straw. She just wanted to ask the young man in front of her, who knew about the existence of parallel Worlds, if there was a way to help her return to her original World.

However, Luca did not choose to answer her question, but simply asked again,

"First, tell me, how did you come to this World?"

This time, Gwen no longer hid anything, as if she had found an outlet for her emotions, she poured out her previous experiences completely, like beans spilling from a bamboo tube.

Luca, who was familiar with the plot, finally had an answer to her origin.

According to Gwen's narration and Luca's deductions and summary,

This Gwen from another World should have had a similar experience to Ghost Spider-Gwen in the movie 'Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.'

In Gwen's original World, her good friend Peter Parker turned into a lizard monster and died in a battle with her.

Afterward, Gwen had been in self-blame and pain.

However, not long after, because Kingpin from another parallel dimension wanted to get his wife and son back, he had his subordinates create a super particle collider that could transport people through time and space.

As a result, an accident occurred when the particle collider was activated.

This caused her and several other Spider-Man from different Worlds to travel to that dimension.

Ultimately, the Spider-Man and Miles, who had just become 'Little Black Spider,' defeated Kingpin, who had caused this chaos.

And with the help of the particle collider created by Kingpin's subordinates, they returned to their original Universe.

Well, normally, the plot should have developed like this.
