Chapter 23 - Chapter 23

Using two spears at the same time, he worked them together so seamlessly that the enemy could not catch any openings.

Saber felt the pressure; she clearly knew that she was facing an opponent whose martial arts were strong, possibly even surpassing her own.

However, the other party would not be able to gain any easy advantage.

Because of the effect of Invisible Air, Lancer could not judge the shape or specific length of the weapon in her hand, so he could only engage her cautiously. Otherwise, an attack would have been launched long ago using the advantage of his weapon's reach.

At this point, it undoubtedly provided more time for Saber to look for opportunities.

Seeing this, Shirou suddenly spoke out during the gap as the two retreated from their clash.

"Lancer! Saber's real name is Artoria Pendragon! The sword she holds is called Excalibur, and the blade is 115cm long!"

Hearing Shirou's voice, Saber's expression froze, and her green eyes widened instantly.

"You are————!?"

At the moment of Saber's surprise, Irisviel, who was standing not far behind her watching the battle worriedly, also opened her crimson eyes wide, her face full of incredulity.

Then, Irisviel, feeling uneasy, looked at the King of Knights, who was in the midst of a crisis after having her true name revealed.

"Saber..."

The situation, which was originally balanced, was reversed in an instant as Shirou revealed Saber's true identity. At such a close distance, even if Saber wanted to unleash her Noble Phantasm, she had no time to accumulate magic power. After all, her Excalibur is an Anti-Fortress Noble Phantasm, not an Anti-Unit one.

At the same time, Lancer, who also heard Shirou's voice, saw the grim expressions of Saber and Irisviel, and his eyes lit up.

"I see... King Arthur..."

Lancer smiled.

"Looks like it's time for me to show my true strength."

With a clang, Lancer threw the yellow spear to the ground.

Then, before Saber's eyes, the charm on the spear in Lancer's right hand was slowly unraveled. It was a crimson spear, and the blade was wrapped with a completely different magic than before, giving off an ominous feeling.

With the spear in both hands, Lancer's figure turned into a swift shadow and attacked in an instant!

Whoosh————!

The crimson spear, nimbly swung by Lancer, created a whirlwind and stabbed at Saber with incredible speed. Horrified by Lancer's speed, Saber hurriedly defended with her sword.

Clang————!

Fierce sparks burst out. Because of the magic-neutralizing properties of Gae Dearg, Invisible Air lost its effect the moment it was touched, and the golden holy sword bloomed with its unique brilliance.

"Your sword is exposed," Lancer laughed.

"Hmph!"

Saber snorted coldly and then unleashed the power of Invisible Air again. The air compressed within the barrier to distort light was released by Saber in an instant. A gust of wind swept out, pushing Lancer's body several meters away.

"I can already see the blade of your sword clearly; I won't be fooled by you anymore!" Lancer said earnestly.

Then, he attacked again!

As he said, every shot that followed was a fatal attack, without a single superfluous action. Every move was calculated with great precision; Saber could only resist with all her might.

In an instant, Invisible Air was torn apart by the crimson spear, and the true form of the golden holy sword was once again exposed. Saber complained inwardly, feeling powerless against Lancer's speed and unparalleled martial arts under the disadvantage of unequal information.

Thorny————!

Suddenly, Saber's shoulder was stabbed by the sharp spear tip. The silver-white armor could not provide any sense of security and was easily pierced by the demon-breaking characteristics of the crimson spear!

After stepping back, the tip of Lancer's spear was already stained with blood.

"Saber!" Irisviel exclaimed and hurriedly used healing magic to treat Saber's wounds.

"Thank you, Irisviel. I'm fine; the healing magic worked." Saber touched the wound, which had closed under the magic, though the pain remained.

"You're at a disadvantage, Saber. Your armor is nothing before my spear," Lancer taunted tactically.

"Heh, the battle has just begun, Lancer. Don't get too carried away," Saber said coldly. "Since I can't defend against it, I will have to kill you before I am hit. This is my final attack. Prepare yourself, Lancer!"

After saying this, the silver armor wrapped around Saber's body emitted a faint light and disappeared. Irisviel was dumbfounded, and Lancer narrowed his eyes.

Chest plate, gauntlets, and greaves were gone; Saber had discarded her armor. The fragments of armor lost their magical power and gradually vanished like smoke.

Not only did Saber feel lighter after removing her armor, but the magic power originally used to maintain it was infused into her attacks. For Saber, who possesses the "Mana Burst" skill, this was significant.

Mana Burst refers to the skill of gathering a large amount of magic power in weapons and limbs, allowing one to release it at any time to instantly improve athletic ability. This is why Saber, who looks like a petite girl, is able to wield a broadsword and fight like a true power warrior.

Now that she could use all her remaining mana for melee combat, she mobilized every bit of energy for Mana Burst. As a result, her strength and speed were nearly sixty percent higher than usual, and each blow contained immense destructive power.

From the disadvantage of being forced to remove armor to the advantage of abandoning it—this was her method for dealing with the demon-breaking spear.

"Heh, finally..." Lancer smiled.

"Take this, Lancer!" Saber raised the radiant sword in her hand, and her body shot out like a cannonball.
