Slap!
The sound of Alexis's hand slapping Stefan's cheek kept ringing inside her head.
She couldn't recall the face Stefan made after the action. All she could remember was she left his room and ran away as fast as possible. As if she committed a murder and didn't know how to handle the guilt.
Was it actually guilt that made her run like that? Or the suffocation of not knowing what she wanted with herself? All through the conversation she was so focused on observing Stefan that she almost forgot the other person in front of her could do the same.
He could be bluffing at the end but then, why is she so shaken by his false observation? Why couldn't she push him just because he acted a little bit persistent?
Didn't she wish he would be persistent about saving their relationship if she somehow showed up at his wedding? Didn't she secretly desire that he could leave everything of the mess he created just to be with her?
