A profound smile escaped from Benjamin's lips as if he were some kind of angel, ignoring the provocation Alexis was offering.
"Sit down, young lady. I do not want you to wear you out any further," the smile didn't leave his face while he gestured to today's chair located in his study.
"Such a kind offer coming from the kidnapper," Alexis wasn't in a mood to smile back but she couldn't help the urge to test this old man's patient. This much is fine right?
Benjamin looked at her directly for a second as if he was trying to read something out of her and then a small chuckle escaped his lips.
"Such a sarcastic remark. Fortunately, I won't be taking the lead of this accusation as I wasn't the one who allowed it. But indeed, it was done by the people working under me so the responsibility does fall on me.
I should have asked you sooner, but how about you tell me how I can make up for you, Miss Lockwood?"
Make up to her?
