Chapter 6 - The Silent Truth

Ilsa didn't come that day.At first,Aiden ressured himself _may be she was busy.maybe the rin had dalayed her .or may be she would come tommorrow.

But she didn't come the next day.or the day after that.The same place the same chair,yet the seat across him remained empty.

For the first time,Aiden did not just notice the emptiness _he endured it.Days began turning into weeks.Every evening he came,sat down,and kept his eyes on the door.People came and went, but she didn't.

One evening , as the sun was setting,Ahmad asked his heat a question for a first time;Are some meetings truly temporry?

Just then,the cafe owner approached him.''Are you waiting for someone?''he asked gently.

Aiden looked up,surprised,then smiled fintly,''Yes....maybe,'' he said.

The owner hesitated ,then spoke.''That girl?The one with white scarf?''

Aiden's heart stopped for moment.''You know her?''

The owner noded slowly.''She used to come here often.... but last week she told me she was leaving the city.The words are simple,but Aiden felt the ground slip beneath him.

''Leaving....the city?.

''Yes '',the owner said softly.''she told me ,if anyone asks about her....just say pray.''

Aiden felt silent.He realized that some good byes happen without words.That night,he sat there for a long time.

For the first time,he did not look away from the empty chair.

Because now he he knew _silence can tell the truth.

Yet,in a quiet corner of his heart,a faint light remained;

MAYBE....THE STORY WAS NOT OVER YET.
