Chapter 50 - Chapter 50

When the Script Tries to Start

The Valencrest residence was unusually quiet.

Too quiet.

Lunaria Valencrest sat on the edge of the sofa, phone clutched tightly in her hands.

Her screen was filled with the same things—

Headlines.

Comments.

Mockery.

"Cheater Princess"

"Perfect match: Shameless man & faithless woman"

"No wonder Runcandel broke it off"

Her fingers trembled.

She turned the phone face-down, breathing unevenly.

"…Why did it turn out like this?"

The once-proud Valencrest heiress now looked fragile.

Tired.

Afraid.

A Knock on the Door

Knock. Knock.

Lunaria froze.

Her heart skipped.

Another reporter?

Another relative demanding answers?

Before she could react, the door opened.

A familiar voice followed.

"Luna."

She looked up.

And froze again.

Kael Ravencroft Appears

Kael Ravencroft stood there calmly.

Well-dressed.

Composed.

Different from the frantic people surrounding her lately.

"Kael…?" she whispered.

He smiled gently.

"It's been a long time."

For a moment, Lunaria forgot the noise outside.

Forgot the internet.

Forgot everything.

Comfort, Perfectly Timed

Kael stepped inside and sat across from her, maintaining a respectful distance.

"I heard what happened," he said softly.

"And I came back as soon as I could."

Lunaria's eyes reddened.

"They're saying such terrible things," she said quietly.

"I didn't even get a chance to explain."

Kael shook his head.

"You don't need to explain to them."

His voice was steady.

"You didn't do anything wrong."

Those words hit her harder than anything else.

Her shoulders trembled.

"I'm scared," she admitted.

"I can't even go outside anymore."

Kael leaned forward slightly.

"Luna," he said gently,

"it's okay. Everything will be alright."

The Savior Position

He spoke with certainty.

The kind that made people want to believe.

"You're not alone anymore," Kael continued.

"I'm here."

Lunaria looked at him.

The timing was too perfect.

The words too warm.

And yet—

Right now, she needed it.

An Escape Offer

Kael stood up and extended a hand.

"Come on," he said with a small smile.

"Let's get some fresh air."

She hesitated.

"…What if people recognize me?"

Kael's eyes softened.

"Then let them look," he replied calmly.

"I'll handle it."

After a few seconds—

She placed her hand in his.

Outside — The Script Moves Forward

The car pulled away from the Valencrest residence.

Lunaria stared out the window as the city passed by.

For the first time in days—

Her breathing steadied.

Kael sat beside her, relaxed.

"You don't need to think about anything right now," he said.

"Just rest."

She nodded slowly.

"…Thank you, Kael."

He smiled faintly.

Inside his eyes—

Something flickered.

Elsewhere — A Silent Observer

High above the city—

Fate's thread trembled.

The script had begun.

But it didn't know yet—

That someone else had already read the ending.
