Chapter 26 - Chapter 26: Namikaze Minato — The Yellow Flash

Namikaze Minato's pressure was undeniable.

He just stood there, even wearing a sunny smile.

Yet somehow, you could clearly feel an invisible weight coming from him.

"So the final conclusion… is head-on battle?"

The same doubt echoed in both Minato's and Hatake Kakashi's minds.

Kakashi had heard about this man from his father.

How should he put it…

Uchiha Jingyan was right—Namikaze Minato really was fast. Even his father admitted that.

And under those circumstances, Jingyan still chose frontal combat?

And from his tone, frontal combat even seemed like the only answer?

What on earth was going on in this guy's head?!

Still, doubts aside, Kakashi quietly drew his blade.

The Hatake clan wouldn't lack the courage to fight head-on…

Minato, meanwhile, took out a kunai.

Come on.

Since you insist on frontal combat, as your teacher, I can only satisfy you.

His eyes gradually filled with anticipation.

Three geniuses who graduated at just five years old—what kind of combat ability did they really have?

"Time's up."

"Begin!"

With a low shout, Minato announced the start.

At the same time, the three kids moved!

"Kakashi! Use Earth Style to block his path—disrupt his hand seals!"

"Obito! Just charge—don't stop!"

Jingyan's mouth moved the instant the battle began.

And faster than his commands was his dazzling hand speed!

"Fire Style! Mother-and-Child Great Fireball!"

Jingyan completed more than twenty hand seals in just three seconds.

Not only breaking his own record, but the direction of the jutsu was… into the sky.

A bloated fireball shot upward!

And in midair, the fireball slowly peeled apart like a melting eggshell, revealing the fire dragons inside…

This move wasn't for killing—only for control.

At the same time, Kakashi reached the right distance, formed seals, and slammed his hands onto the ground.

"Earth Style! Triple Earth Wall!"

The ground trembled slightly.

Three walls rose almost at the same time—but in different directions.

One appeared behind Minato, and the other two at his sides…

This move had originally been designed for Jingyan.

In past sparring, Jingyan barely moved, so Kakashi once tried using this with his sword to end the fight in one strike.

That was the closest he ever came to winning.

Unfortunately, he still couldn't break through Jingyan's jutsu…

And now—

The same tactic appeared again, but against a much stronger enemy.

Yet this time, Kakashi strangely felt confident.

If it's this guy…

Maybe… just maybe, it could work?

He startled himself with that thought.

That man standing there was Namikaze Minato—

A super-strong ninja even his father acknowledged!

Just the three of them?

And in the split second Kakashi was thinking all this—

The fire dragons in the sky rushed toward Minato!

At that moment, Minato seemed to have only one direction to dodge.

Straight ahead—

Toward Uchiha Obito, who was charging forward without hesitation!

Obito knew very well…

He probably wasn't getting lunch today.

Honestly, Kakashi really was a bit better than him.

So…

Before getting eliminated, he had to do something!

Obito's eyes were extremely firm.

And his mind was unusually calm!

While charging, he calculated the timing of the fire dragons above and Minato's possible reactions.

Let's gamble!

Two kunai flew out first!

Hand seals followed immediately!

"Fire Style! Great Fireball Jutsu!"

Eight proper seals—the classic Uchiha fire technique finally appeared!

Minato raised an eyebrow.

"Pretty capable, you little guys…"

His smile didn't fade, but in his heart, he was deeply satisfied.

Their coordination had already reached his expectations—no… it had exceeded them!

"Then I, as your teacher, should probably get serious too?"

His smile grew brighter.

Minato changed his grip on the kunai, flicked his wrist—and it flew.

"Clang!"

A crisp sound—Kakashi swung his blade and knocked the kunai away.

But what happened next made his eyes widen in shock!

Minato appeared directly on top of the kunai!

The sudden change caught Kakashi completely off guard.

A sharp pain exploded in his abdomen, and he was sent flying!

Obito wasn't any better.

With Kakashi handled, Minato flashed straight behind Obito.

Another simple punch—

Obito was smashed into the ground, and the fire he was about to spit was snuffed out.

Everything happened far, far too fast.

Jingyan's fire dragons in the sky hadn't even landed yet!
