Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Attack!

Fuyuki City.

This city, which should have been peaceful, had already welcomed many uninvited guests.

"I say, Rider."

"How did you do it?"

Waver looked at his surroundings with a slight tremor, asking in a faint voice.

"Of course, I had a friendly chat with the owner."

"They were so happy, they just gave it to us."

But Rider's response left Waver utterly speechless.

This luxurious villa was something Waver wouldn't have dared to dream of before, yet Rider simply said, "I'll handle it," and it was done.

Most importantly, it wasn't acquired by harming ordinary people.

(Suggestion?)

Although he initially tried to use magic to subtly influence someone, he clearly wasn't as outstanding as Rider.

However, considering Rider's class, it seemed unlikely that "suggestion" was involved.

Could Rider possess Caster-like magic?

(That's impossible, isn't it?)

Shaking his head, Waver smiled wryly, dismissing the class speculation.

(What an easy Master to read.)

Sitting on the sofa, sipping old tea, Lelouch thought as he looked at the young man before him.

Although he was much cleverer than Suzaku, he was still too easy to deal with.

(Command Seal.)

His gaze shifted to the back of Waver's hand, looking at the red mark, Lelouch wondered if he should find an opportunity to get rid of it.

The best way would be to use the power of Geass to control the other party; that would be the safest.

But considering that Masters might come into contact, and some observant individuals might discover it, that would be very troublesome.

Geass's ability was his biggest trump card; it was an excellent weapon against both Servants and enemy Masters.

Furthermore, Rider's class could provide him with an excellent cover; how could someone who pilots a mech possibly be a Servant with "magic"?

If Geass were known in advance, and precautions were taken, it wouldn't be worth it.

This was also why Lelouch hadn't made a move on Waver yet.

(Let's observe for now.)

"Assassin, you seem to have gone out on your own."

Kirei Kotomine felt the movement in the room and suddenly asked.

"I just went out to look around."

A cold voice sounded, reflecting the individual's emotions.

"Himura Battosai, I have searched through numerous historical documents and have not found anyone who perfectly matches your identity."

"..."

Hearing Kirei Kotomine's words, Himura Kenshin did not reply, but a strange glint flickered in his eyes.

"Well, it doesn't matter. Although you might lose the fame bonus."

"But I believe you will still perform excellently in the upcoming mission."

Kirei Kotomine did not press the matter, simply giving instructions according to his father's and teacher's guidance.

But deep down, Kirei Kotomine harbored a hint of doubt.

The man before him might also hold the answers he sought.

The sky changed, and the passage of time heralded the gradual unfolding of the stage.

"Wow, this is truly incredible."

"Have you never been out to see it?"

In the black car, Saber and a disguised Irisviel were traveling, unaware that their every move had already fallen into someone else's eyes.

"Is that Saber and her Master?"

"What an incautious combination. If it weren't for the consideration of 'mystery,' they would have been eliminated long ago."

Standing on a tall building, in spiritual form, the shadow secretly observed the "flaunting" duo below, whispering.

Since the other party was giving him such an opportunity, he wouldn't show mercy.

It should be noted that Saber might have some strange way to allow her Master to survive a fatal attack... "Hmm?!"

Saber and Irisviel walked along the beach, and under the dark night sky, they felt a direct killing intent.

"Saber?"

Even the optimistic Irisviel sensed the unusual atmosphere.

"This undisguised killing intent."

"Is it saying that the target they set their sights on will definitely be killed?"

"How presumptuous."

A figure had already appeared in her eyes, and the sword at his waist clearly indicated hostile intentions.

Saber directly regarded the other party's actions as a provocation.

"Swish!"

But the next moment, the other party didn't greet her or respond; instead, he drew his sword, and his ghost-like figure had already charged forward.

"Whoosh!"

"Dangerous!"

Her intuition warned her, and Saber instinctively pulled Irisviel away, allowing the latter to evade the incoming sword strike.

"Crack!"

A gully was directly carved into the ground, but no one was visible.

"Is that...?"

Glancing at the sharp blade, Saber judged her opponent to be a highly skilled and masterful swordsman.

Pulling Irisviel's hand back, shielding her behind her, she remained vigilant.

"Whoosh."

(So fast.)

(This footwork.)

The wide area seemed to have become the other party's playground; she felt his agile movements.

Afterimages flickered in the air, and Saber then changed her attire and drew her Holy Sword.

The Holy Sword, enveloped by a barrier, could not be seen, and this forced back the attacking figure.

"A sword hidden in the wind?"

No longer hiding, but appearing directly before them, Himura Kenshin observed Saber's Invisible Holy Sword and spoke.

"Are you Assassin?"

The weapon the other party held was also a sword, coupled with his uncanny skill, Saber asked tentatively.

"An Assassin openly attacking someone?"

Irisviel knew some common knowledge of the Holy Grail War, such as concealing one's identity. And usually, shouldn't Assassin be the one who needs to hide and assassinate the most?

Why would he dare to charge head-on, and against the strongest Servant, Saber?

"For me, if I need to make a move..."

"Any time is fine."

This was not an exaggeration. As Battosai, he had killed countless enemies and high-ranking officials. Aside from a few Masters from the Shinsengumi and Mimawarigumi, there really weren't many survivors.

It was only when he met a certain beloved person that he eased his excessive killing, but this time was different.

If he won, both her severely injured self and the world would be saved.

Therefore, no matter what, Kenshin would slay all enemies blocking his path this time.

Even if it was an unarmed Master.

"Assassin openly confronting Saber."

"Heh, then put on a good show, mongrel."

Gilgamesh, sensing it from afar, found such reckless behavior from an Assassin amusing.

A reckless challenge?

He didn't think it was something to be ashamed of; at least it would give him a good show.

That Assassin, while having good intentions, was also a "manslayer."

If he made up his mind, he wouldn't hold back.

"Hmm?"

"It seems quite a few bugs have snuck in."

...Kiritsugu Emiya's expression subtly changed as he lay on the floor of a tall building.

After receiving communication from Irisviel, he found a nearby support point to set up his sniper rifle, but he hadn't expected...

There were also Masters!

The figure in golden armor, he immediately judged to be a Servant, and thus held his breath and hid.

It would be unwise to expose his identity now, but the battle not far away also made him worried.

Saber facing Assassin alone would be fine, but having to deal with another Servant hiding in the shadows would be full of danger.

On his first day in Fuyuki City, he hadn't expected to encounter such "exciting" events; things were changing too quickly.

"If necessary,"

"I'll have to make Saber retreat first."
