Chapter 2 - 2.A Happy Family

On the dining table sat everyone amiling and chatting. At the top of the table sat her father Mr. Vance Miller, a male alpha. He was a well known figure in the business world. He spoke less and only with the ones he thought were eligible. By him sat her mother Mrs. Lane Miller, a famale omega she smiled at her eldest son and his fiance. She was amongst the top socialites. Her paternal home being a subsidiary of the Millers. On the opposite sat my younger brother, a male alpha, Albert Miller and with him his fiance, a male omega, Lucas Lloyd. Albert was the next successor of the Millers. He had been trained by Mr. Miller since childhood. Lucas Lloyd was no less as well. He too was the sole heir of Lloyd industries. His parents loved him very much and supported him through everything.

Compared to them I was quite a failure. A female alpha useless compared to them. Since birth she had been neglected by her parents. Till ten years age she lived with her grandparents and was brought back only because of their death. They had always prioritized his needs. She had been used to it. But in her last life she foolishly thought she could win them over.

She smiled at herself sarcastically and went back. She didn't want to intrude on them and went back to her room. After returning she took a shower and got dressed. She left quietly through the backdoor. She took her car and went to the nearest stock exchange. She sold off all stocks unrelated to millers. Her phone went with a ding sound indicating money transfer. She looked at the balance and smiled. She earned about 200 million from them.

After returning home she found that the scene had shifted. The happy family now sat in the living room. She bypassed them and locked her room's door. She sat on her laptop and started searching for places. Her criteria were two ample space and far from crowd. Soon she found a place. She saved the address and called the realestate office to visit the place. Then she started to research about cars and after settling everything she huffed. Then she listed all the renovation's needed in her house.after all this she felt hungry. She called the house keeper asked for her dinner in her room and sat on the balcony. The sweet night breeze touched her face. Slowly her hands went to her pendent. She understood now that this was the reason she came back. It was given by her grandma who too was an female alpha like her. She was the only one who had been nice to her. She once told her that in a life or death situation this will help her.

The memory was still alive in her memories.

She recalled, "Even if no one calls for you, then walk alone. The one above will always see your efforts and help you in need. "

The night lights flickered along with the few stars. The melancholy wind slowly escaped from between them and came onto her face. The wind struck her face and she smiled.

Suddenly the view changed. She jolted up from the chair surprised.

"What? Where is this? "

The view changed. From night sky to a vast sunny green plains. A small creek flowed through the land. By the creek was a thatched hut. She walked to the hut and found it empty. There was nothing except for a book.
