Chapter 11 - I Can Eat!

Born in an era of peace, Michael had never known what it felt like to have his life threatened. Raphael's move just now scared him so much his legs were still trembling.

"You're way too cowardly. Since you won't really die, what's there to be afraid of?" Leo pouted with disdain, bluntly criticizing.

'Are you crazy? If you're dead, how can you be afraid anymore?'

Michael was so angry he stopped being scared, he really wanted to yell and curse but was afraid of disturbing Raphael. He didn't think Raphael was joking, he really could kill him.

"You've met my old father now, so let's start training."

Leo didn't give Michael a chance to react, he immediately grabbed his hand and dragged him running to the plot of land behind the house.

???

I want to go home! I don't want to be a genie anymore.

Even though he didn't know what the training involved, it definitely wasn't anything pleasant. He was just a flower in a greenhouse, never having faced harsh winds, now directly confronting a storm, how could he withstand it.

As soon as they reached the backyard, Michael was stunned by the sight before him. Not a difficult training ground, not hundred-kilo weights. Here was only one thing... a goat roasted with its skin completely charred.

Of course, a goat isn't strange, but a goat two meters tall was the first time Michael had seen one in real life. Before, he'd only seen random images created by AI.

He threw Leo a look full of suspicion as if asking: What kind of training is this here?

Leo curled his lip in disdain. Just a weak greenhouse flower, what do you know about training to dare question him?

He pointed at the giant goat before them, speaking unhurriedly.

"Eat all of it. This is the first training session."

"Huh???"

Michael's eyes widened, mouth agape, his finger pointing at the goat then at his own face, repeating dozens of times expressing countless questions.

"Haha, don't look at me like that. You have to believe the body has no limits." Leo laughed, then immediately grabbed a large piece of meat and put it in his mouth.

Wild style, savage action. Michael thought he was watching a prehistoric person perform a meat buffet.

'The human body has no limits? If you said that about thinking, I could maybe believe it, but this is too unscientific!'

Michael screamed internally. A person who had undergone compulsory basic education absolutely could not utter such an illogical statement.

'Huh, what if he's right? This body of mine was molded from nothingness. It probably isn't like a normal body.'

Thinking of all the weird things that had happened to him, he felt he could give it a try. Things like becoming a deity and crossing worlds were even more illogical than this after all.

So he imitated Leo's action, directly putting a large piece of meat into his mouth. The taste wasn't great, but fortunately not too greasy, so he could swallow it reluctantly.

One piece, two pieces, three pieces... Michael shoved large chunks of meat into his mouth. Clearly that amount of meat was larger than his entire body, yet his stomach only bulged a little.

Leo's jaw dropped, the large piece of meat falling to the ground along with it. His bizarre gaze looked at Michael as if looking at a monster that fell from the sky.

"You... how did you do that? Eating isn't supposed to be step by step adapting and gradually increasing the food amount?"

Even with a lifetime of training like his, he had never encountered such a strange situation. Even though his mouth said the body has no limits, saying that was just to boost morale. This was the first time in his life he saw a human body that truly seemed to have no limits.

"Huh? Is something wrong?"

Michael stopped, suspiciously looking at this 'trainer' of his. Why did Leo's expression seem like he didn't understand what was happening?

"You dare ask? Look at yourself, do you look human anywhere? How can you stuff an amount of meat larger than your body in such a short time?"

"Ah..."

Michael was dumbfounded, only now did he notice this issue. Just now he only thought about finishing this goat as soon as possible, so he didn't pay attention to how much he had eaten.

'System, what's going on? Why do I only feel slightly full?'

[Your body looks normal but actually isn't normal.]

[I didn't want the genie to starve because of difficulty absorbing food, so I boosted 'a bit' this aspect of the body.]

[More specifically, you can eat as much as you want. As long as it's organic matter or energy that can be absorbed according to natural rules, you can eat it. Moreover, eating can also increase strength but requires a huge quantity, not recommended to use this method.]

'Hahaha, my lovely system. I love you to death! You said you wouldn't give me anything, but this small tweak is very meaningful.'

Michael laughed inwardly, this was the best news since arriving on this continent. One could say now he could practically never starve.

[Don't misunderstand, this isn't a gift. Just a small tweak to increase survival probability.]

The system firmly maintained its stance of not giving the genie anything else. All this was just following procedure.

'Whatever. As long as the final effect is good, no problem for me. Haha, finally a chance to show off in front of this kid.'

He had no strength, no necessary knowledge for now. Facing Leo, he always felt tragically suppressed. Now he had been buffed. He would eat until the other questioned this world.

"Then it's because you're weak. Can't even eat compared to someone untrained like me." Michael looked up provocatively, while continuously putting meat in his mouth.

"You brat, daring to challenge me. Let me see how much you can eat."

Leo refused to back down. Losing to someone with thin skin, soft flesh, no strength at all in eating was unacceptable.

So Michael's first training session now turned into an eating contest between two three-year-olds.
