Silas's POV
Two days passed before Bella finally cracked. She contacted Miss Porter directly, requesting to move forward with the Star Brew partnership. Part of me had anticipated she would drag this out longer, driven by that fierce independence of hers, but apparently even Bella Rossi had her breaking point. The fact that she made the call herself rather than sending someone else spoke volumes about her state of mind.
When Miss Porter escorted her into my office that afternoon, I caught that familiar defensive look in her dark eyes. Her mouth formed a tight line, her posture rigid as she settled into the chair opposite my desk. Even under pressure, she refused to let me see her crack completely.
