Chapter 51 - A Risk Worth Taking

My body still feels kind of wonky, like I got hit by a truck.

That feeling is exactly why I don't have a proper decision about this trip just yet. It could still be a risk worth taking.

"Good morning Liam, I'm happy to see you are up without a problem," Airi says with a smile as she looks up from her book.

"It was a peaceful night of sleep for once," I reply with relief.

"That is good. I don't know if you came to a decision or not yet, but you can have another day or two to decide. I'll handle the remaining problems in the city until then," Airi says casually.

The smile isn't disappearing from her face so she really doesn't seem to be bothered by anything here. It does make me feel like I should've killed everything instead of rushing off to the academy.

"I'm sorry I didn't finish killing the zierel in the other locations," I reply with disappointment in my voice.
