Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Surprised Obito

Obito, who was doing the exercises, heard their conversation and couldn't help but look up, then froze.

He recognized Shisui.

The Uchiha Clan lived together in the clan land designated by Konoha, so people of the same generation knew each other to some extent.

After all, they were all from the same family; even if they hadn't met, they had heard about each other. For example, a genius like Shisui often appeared in the mouths of various elders as'someone else's child,' making it hard not to know him.

Obito felt a little confused as to why Shisui was here and seemed very familiar with Muzuki.

"Is Teacher Hayate a distant relative of Shisui?" An unreliable guess formed in Obito's mind.

"Teacher, I'm done!"

While Obito was lost in thought, Might Guy beside him suddenly shouted with full vigor.

"That fast?" Obito was dumbfounded. He remembered he hadn't stopped for long, so why did Might Guy suddenly say he was finished?

Obito curiously leaned over to look and saw that Might Guy had only done the first three multiple-choice questions; the rest were blank.

Obito didn't know what to say for a moment, because the entire paper only had ten questions: four multiple-choice and six open-ended.

Although he didn't know how to do many questions either, he would choose to fill the paper a bit to make it look better.

Hearing Might Guy's words, Muzuki walked over and checked Might Guy's answers. He got two wrong, with only the first question correct.

"I'm sorry, Teacher, I..." Might Guy looked at the two wrong answers out of the only three questions he had attempted and was at a loss for words.

"It's okay, it's normal not to know. If you knew, I wouldn't need to teach you," Muzuki said with a comforting smile.

"Don't feel bad just because your score is low. You can think of it from another perspective: you have a lot of room for improvement. After all, improving from five points to twenty-five points is definitely much easier than going from eighty to one hundred points."

Hearing Muzuki's words, Might Guy's body trembled. Having always been considered a failure and left to his own devices, this was the first time he had received encouragement from anyone other than his father.

"Teacher, you're right, I have a lot of room for improvement!" Might Guy's morale instantly soared.

Might Guy listened very carefully to Muzuki's subsequent explanation, trying hard to understand even if it was difficult.

Next was Obito. Obito filled in six questions, but only got two correct.

Muzuki treated him the same way he treated Might Guy, first comforting him, then explaining the problems.

After explaining, Muzuki took out two more similar test papers and handed them to the two.

"Still more to do." Obito couldn't take his eyes off Shisui, who had started practicing Fire Release.

"Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique!" Shisui quickly formed hand signs, instantly spitting out a two-meter-high great fireball that flew towards the river.

Looking at the enormous fireball, Obito was filled with admiration, thinking, 'As expected of a famous genius in the clan.'

As an Uchiha, he also knew the classic Ninjutsu, Great Fireball Technique.

However, his Great Fireball Technique, whether in size or power, was just a small fireball compared to Shisui's.

"Is he another genius like Kakashi?"

Although Might Guy didn't know Shisui, he looked at Shisui's figure and appearance. He was at most six or seven years old, yet he could use Ninjutsu of such power, which truly surprised him.

This made Might Guy think of Kakashi, whom he considered his rival.

Ninja Academy had a three-semester system: the first semester was from April to July, followed by summer vacation; the second semester was from September to December, followed by winter vacation. After winter vacation was the third semester.

Kakashi didn't even finish the second semester; he directly applied for early graduation and passed, which showed his genius level.

And at this moment, Shisui gave Might Guy the feeling of a Kakashi of the same age.

Immediately after, Shisui began practicing Fire Release: Great Dragon Fire Technique.

Seeing that Shisui also knew other Fire Release Ninjutsu, Might Guy was even more surprised, because he had practiced the Three Body Technique taught at school for three years and felt he had barely learned it.

Watching Shisui control the fire dragon flying in the sky, Obito was also very envious. If he also knew this technique, he would definitely be able to impress Rin.

"It's clear that your form transformation has greatly improved compared to the first time. The fire dragon's speed is a bit faster. You must have practiced a lot after returning yesterday," Muzuki commented and praised.

"It's mainly because your cultivation manual, Teacher Muzuki, has helped me a lot." Hearing Muzuki's praise, Shisui smiled and then said.

"Let me demonstrate it to you again."

Muzuki walked in front of Shisui, clapped his hands, and his Chakra quickly gathered and compressed. He instantly opened his mouth and spat out three giant fire dragons.

Looking at the three incredibly ferocious and intensely burning giant fire dragons, Obito was a bit dumbfounded.

A second ago, he thought Shisui's Fire Release: Great Dragon Fire Technique was cool, but after Muzuki's Fire Release: Great Dragon Fire Technique appeared, Obito's opinion changed.

The two didn't seem to be performing the same Ninjutsu. The fire dragon released by Shisui and the one released by Muzuki were like the difference between a snake and a loach. And why was the speed so fast? It felt like he didn't even form hand signs.

The three giant fire dragons flew rapidly in the sky, leaving trails of flames in their flight paths, finally forming several large characters in the air.

"Stop looking, hurry up and do the questions." Obito read the words in the sky, and then found Muzuki looking at him with a harmonious smile.

Obito was instantly startled, then explained:

"I was just tired from doing exercises and looking at the sky for a bit."

He glanced at Might Guy out of the corner of his eye and saw that Might Guy, who had been watching with him, had already picked up his pen to do the questions, reacting very quickly.

"Have you seen enough now?" Muzuki asked.

"Seen enough, seen enough." Obito also quickly picked up his pen and started doing the questions.

After doing questions for a while, Obito still couldn't help but stop writing and asked, "Teacher Hayate, what's your relationship with Shisui?"

"Teacher and disciple. What did you think it was?" Muzuki glanced at Might Guy's paper and then replied.

"Hehe, I also thought it was like master and disciple." Obito didn't mention his initial unreliable guess.

"Teacher Hayate, if I pass, can you teach me that Ninjutsu you just used?" Obito continued to ask.

He was already imagining how he would show off his new Ninjutsu to Rin, in other words, he was ready to pop the champagne.

"Of course." Muzuki nodded.

"Really?" Obito's face lit up with surprise.

"Really."

"Teacher Hayate, what Taijutsu have you mastered?" Might Guy looked at Muzuki with anticipation.

Although he also thought Muzuki was cool when he used Fire Release: Great Dragon Fire Technique, Might Guy's goal was clear: he only practiced Taijutsu!

Muzuki didn't speak, but walked to a large tree, gathered Chakra in his feet, tensed his muscles, and then kicked out a whirlwind kick at an extremely fast speed.

With a 'patta' sound, the large tree quickly fell to the ground, raising a cloud of dust.

"Do you like this Taijutsu?" Muzuki retracted his foot, brushed off the dust, and smiled as he looked at Might Guy.
