The girls walked to the village, with us hanging at their backs. Even though they had spirits themselves, they still walked along without the knowledge of humanoid-spirit at the backs. They took us to a giant tree, about 15 feet in the air. It has stairs all over it and a deep under chamber.
"Do we tell the elders first... Or just take them to the prison then we tell the elders?" The centaur asked.
The elf girl thought for a while and answered "the best choice here is to tell the elders but two of us will have to stay here and keep guard."
The wear-beast without missing a beat chose the guard us with the dwarf, leaving the elf and the centaur to announce the topic.
From there, the four split into two groups. The elf and the centaur climbed the long tree. But for some reason it only took them about 5 minutes to reach the high end.
The other two, the dwarf and the wear-beast girl took us to the prison they were talking about.
The prison wasn't like your regular cell prison but a highly mana filled bars that covers the entire space. Unlike the regular prison cells which had normal metal bars. This one had mana filled bars; meaning it wouldn't be sliced, broken or damaged.
Meanwhile the girls (the elf and centaur):
"Wow! I can't believe the mere human managed to block my attack even though I used my whole strength." Said the centaur.
"That human possessed astral art which is a lower form of spirit arts but still he was surprisingly good. There is something about him!" The elf girl said.
"Of course you would say that. Your magic even managed to go tow to tow with him." She said.
The elf wondered for a bit and said "I think that was because he had just woken up. You know... After the body wakes up, your mana is refreshing; meaning you can't just create things you might need and maybe that was the reason why we win."
"Either way we won right? And to me that all that matters." The centaur said.
"Nevertheless. He is not the most important thing as of now, we still need to find the person who is using the death magic ball." The elf girl exclaimed.
"Yeah. I forgot that was the main thing."
They reached the upper part of the tree, stopping at the door, they gently knocked on the door.
~~~~~~~
The spirit council:
The girls knocked on the council door with the soft touch of an angel, wanting no punishment for disturbing, if anything goes wrong. They waited a while before getting permission to enter.
"Greetings elders. I am here to tell you about our latest findings." The centaur said.
They all stood up and welcomed them in. What is this information they wanted to talk about?
"We came here to tell you about our successful hunt in the forest. You know... The one lady Stella informed us about." Said the elf girl.
"Alphia and Ursula. Who was the person that disturbed everyone for nearly a week." One the elders said.
"As much as a surprise this might be! The person we were informed about was a boy about the same age as us. And, it also seems like he kidnapped one of the elves but we successfully arrested him and he is being went to jail now."
"Those evil beings, always taking one of our kind. What are they made out of?" The elf elder said as he face began to show signs of extreme anger."
"However. We didn't see any spirit there only the child and another human girl with him." The elf girl exclaimed.
"Looks like we have to consider this situation very carefully." Said the one the elder.
~~~~~~~
"Big-brother! Big-brother! Where am I?" Eva asked.
"Hey. Little how are you feeling?" The elf-elder asked Eva.
Eva without a beat answered "I am fine but where is my big-brother? I swore he was just here."
She began searching for me but wouldn't. Which surprised the elder since he view of me was that: I am a kidnap who kidnapped one of her kin and disturbed the village.
Eva stretched her neck into the window and immediately drew it back in. She has been always scared of heights.
Using her sensitive smell, she drew out my location through it. She dashed almost immediately after. She moved past the girls who were just surprised there watching.
~~~~~~~
I slowly began to regain my consciousness, my wounds began to heal and my mana also began to reform itself. The bars that held me as a prisoner were removed. This was done because they wanted to check up on me. As I thought they wanted to extract information from me.
If I wanted, I would have called the king of the Moon kingdom to help me escape but I wanted to do this myself. I slowly walked across the room trying to get the water bottle they left for me.
"Where did they go?" I asked myself.
My hands were held together by handcuffs, which meant I didn't have the means to escape even if I wanted to. I tried contacting with Aishia but my charkra networks were blocked.
"Hmm!"
"He is awake." Said the wear-beast girl.
"Alright. Let's just get him some clothes to cover himself." The other one mentioned.
Their flustered reaction told me everything I needed to know. They haven't been with a boy in the same room much less a boy at their age. Getting some clothes the dwarf girl threw them at me. I reacted fast and caught them as they approached.
It was awkward but I was going too focused on fixing everything.
"So. What is your business here?" The wear-beast asked.
I gazed at them wondering what to say about the situation."Although I know you might not believe me... The truth is that I saved Eva from a house of abuse and wanted to keep her safe and here was the only direction we could turn to."
"You are right. That is hard to believe but it does make sense too. Since, the girl isn't registered here." Thinking for a bit, the dwarf girl said to us.
"Anyway, that isn't my problem to worry about but good luck anyways."
From downstairs, we all heard rapid running. "What the heck is that?"
Then "Boom!"
The door slid open, showing the little figure of Eva covered in sweat. She was also breathing extremely fast.
"Big-brother! I thought I lost you again." She hugged me tightly taking away my breath.
"Yeah! I'm happy to see you too but could you let go now, but the air can't come out." I said, struggling to breathe.
"Big-brother?" The elf girl asked, confused about the situation.
"So. He was right after all." Said the dwarf girl.
An elderly person walked into the room. He posture clearly said that he was tired but clearly he had to run the olympics.
"Hmm. Why is she hugging the human boy?"
"It is a long story but just know that this boy here saved her from slavery and was bringing her here. So, in conclusion, this by right here is innocent. Case dismiss!" The wear-beast girl said jokingly.
The elder looked to his right then to his left and said. "We are very sorry for treating you like an outcast full of evil."
"It's not your fault... I myself am a human, the same race who chased you out of the world. I am sorry for that as well!"
"Alright."
Though he said that, there were still some doubts that she had.
"Where is Aishia?" I asked them.
"Do you mean the girl that was with you guys?" They asked.
"Yes."
"She is being treated by the village spirit, she will be fine just wait and see."
Gathering together, they all bowed down and said "We are very sorry for what happened earlier!"
"All is forgiven."
"I think we should introduce ourselves to you. First off, my name is Uka the village elder and the leader of the elf tribe." Uka introduced herself.
"My name is Alphia. An assistance from the spirit council office."
"Mine is Sera, the dwarf over there is Alma and the centaur over there is Uzuma."
Uzuma though apologetic, wouldn't dare look at me. Her pride overtook her, the means of an apology didn't even cross her mind. After all, she lost to a mere human and had to be saved.
"I think we have make it up to you master Um!" The elder seemed confused.
"My name is Rial Karasuki." I said.
"Yes. Master Rial."
"Big-brother. Who are these people you keep talking to?" Eva asked.
"These people are citizens of the Spirit village and the people who will protect you when I am not there."
The answer shocked her like lightning. She hadn't expected me to leave so soon after meeting once again. But I had to, the truth might hit but it is better than the lie that would comfort her of a well then break her later on. I learnt this lesson on earth.
"Are you planning on leaving?" She asked me.
"I will one day but I promise that I will make it back."
She began to cry!
