While Merlin was at his table, his feet were suddenly lifted from the ground.
He beheld a prophecy carrying the weight of centuries upon it and collapsed where he stood—the great mage.
He saw the fall of Camelot and the dark prophecy, but he could not tell King Arthur.
For if he did, the prophecy would not come to pass.
That prophecy:
"When the sacred bells toll for the final time,
The throne of light will turn to ash.
The names of gods will cease to be prayers,
And the child born of darkness
Will sever faith with a sword.
When the corrupted church falls,
The heavens will kneel."
A decision about the world will be made.
