Cael pressed himself against the cold stone of the black spire, his breathing shallow, his heart pounding against his ribs. The crimson titan's roars echoed across the devastated landscape, each one a reminder that death was only a moment away. The ground trembled with each of the titan's footsteps, sending vibrations through the stone that Cael could feel in his bones.
I need to find a way out, Cael thought, his eyes scanning the battlefield. I cannot beat him. But I can escape. I just need to be patient. To wait for the right moment.
