Chapter 38 - Tsunade’s Shock

"This… this is impossible! Impossible!"

Uchiha Han was half-kneeling on the ground, disbelief written all over his face.

To deliver a killing blow to Yuya, he had used a B-rank ninjutsu!

Yet that B-rank technique had been forcibly shattered by Yuya's so-called bloodline ability.

How could something like this even happen?

Yuya had grown so powerful that he could smash apart a B-rank ninjutsu head-on!

"There's nothing impossible about it."

Yuya advanced step by step toward Uchiha Han, his expression utterly indifferent.

Fear instantly flooded Uchiha Han's face. He tried to retreat, but intense pain wracked his entire body, leaving him completely unable to move.

His chakra reserves were nearly depleted as well.

At this moment, the outcome was already decided.

"No… no…"

Despair crept into Uchiha Han's eyes.

Yuya, however, showed not the slightest hesitation.

This was a fight to the death, and Uchiha Han's attacks earlier had shown no mercy whatsoever. If Yuya had not opened the Second Gate of the Eight Gates, giving his fists the power to shatter a B-rank ninjutsu, he would have already been burned to ashes.

This time, Yuya did not hesitate.

He raised his fist and brought it down.

Boom!

Uchiha Han—dead.

In the instant before his death, regret finally flooded Uchiha Han's heart.

Back then, he should have ignored everything else and killed Yuya outright, leaving him no chance to grow.

Or perhaps… he should never have provoked Yuya in the first place.

That had been the worst possible decision.

On the corridor above, several members of the Uchiha clan watched the scene unfold, their fists clenched unconsciously.

Some of them wanted to rush down—but forcibly restrained themselves.

Yet the shock and disbelief in their eyes remained unmistakable.

Yuya… had actually defeated Uchiha Han!

In just a few short months, Yuya had grown to such a terrifying level. This talent—this growth rate—was horrifying.

The three ANBU present were also completely stunned.

Yuya… really won.

Their mission had never included protecting Yuya. They had only been ordered to observe and bear witness to this life-and-death duel.

From the moment they arrived, they had believed Yuya was already a discarded piece—a sacrifice the Uchiha clan had obtained by paying a price to the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, in order to preserve their pride.

Yet this "discarded piece" had overturned everything.

It was utterly unbelievable.

Not far away.

Uchiha Kageyama and Tsunade were still locked in fierce combat.

Tsunade had no desire to fight him. There was no reason for it—she only wanted to force her way past.

But Uchiha Kageyama stubbornly blocked her path.

"If you keep stopping me, I swear I'll never let the Uchiha clan hear the end of this!!!"

By now, Tsunade's rage could no longer be restrained.

Uchiha Kageyama's face remained cold. Not only did he refuse to back down, a trace of anger rose within him as well.

Who did Tsunade think he was?!

Yes, she was the princess of the Senju clan and the disciple of Hiruzen Sarutobi—

—but he was also the head of the Uchiha clan!

Still, when he sensed that the commotion behind them had completely died down, he forcibly suppressed his anger.

It seemed… it was over.

Finally, Uchiha Kageyama stopped blocking her.

"Fine. If you want to go over, then let's go together."

As he spoke, he stepped aside, a faintly cold smile appearing on his face.

Tsunade didn't even register his words. The instant the path opened, she surged forward.

"Damn it! If that child Yuya is dead, the Uchiha clan will remember this forever… the disciple I had my eye on—you people—!"

Her fury was uncontrollable.

But beneath it lay deep unwillingness.

Uchiha Kageyama had delayed her for too long. The battle had surely already ended.

She was too late…

With silent mourning in her heart, Tsunade bit her lip and rushed forward at full speed, arriving at the duel grounds in an instant.

"Stop this at once!!"

She shouted before even seeing the situation clearly.

But the very next second, her expression froze.

What… was this?

Tsunade stood there, staring blankly at the scene before her.

The ground was shattered and ruined, clearly bearing the marks of a brutal battle.

A corpse lay there, so mangled it was barely recognizable. Only the clothing remained intact enough to reveal that it belonged to a member of the Uchiha clan.

And Yuya stood in the center of the battlefield, turning around in surprise.

Their gazes met.

"Why is she here?!"

Yuya's face filled with astonishment.

It seemed Tsunade had indeed come to stop this fight.

But compared to Yuya's surprise, what filled Tsunade's heart was pure shock—followed by disbelief.

Yuya… was still alive?!

Her beautiful eyes flickered as she quickly scanned the battlefield. At last, she confirmed it.

This was the dueling ground.

The one standing was Yuya.

The one lying dead was Uchiha Han.

Her shock transformed into sheer awe.

Tsunade felt her mind roar, as if thunder had exploded beside her ears.

Which meant—

Yuya won?!

He had actually defeated Uchiha Han?!

Though Tsunade had never personally witnessed Uchiha Han's strength, she could easily guess he was at least an elite chūnin.

Yet now, he lay dead at Yuya's feet.

The victor was obvious.

What shocked her even more was that Yuya's body showed not a single wound—not even a trace of blood.

It was a complete, overwhelming victory.

Even a jōnin fighting an elite chūnin would struggle to emerge without injury.

This… was utterly unbelievable.

While Tsunade was still reeling from the shock, Uchiha Kageyama slowly walked over.

"Is it finally over? Hmph. Wasting this much time… Han, you really—hm?!"

His expression froze.

Then disbelief flooded his face.

"This is impossible! What happened here?!"

He spun around and shouted at the nearby Uchiha clan members.

Opposite him, the Uchiha ninja were still struggling to contain their shock.

"C-Captain… Uchiha Han… he lost."

One of them answered in a trembling voice.

Uchiha Kageyama stared in disbelief.

Suddenly, he turned back toward the battlefield, locking his gaze onto the uninjured Yuya. A terrifying killing intent surged from his eyes.

This damned brat… had actually reversed the situation under such circumstances!

Yuya naturally noticed Uchiha Kageyama as well.

In an instant, he guessed the man's identity.

Without a doubt, this was the current head of the Uchiha clan—

Uchiha Fugaku's father,

and the grandfather of Uchiha Itachi and Uchiha Sasuke.
