Chapter 80 - Absolute Suppression

Rain continued to fall upon the earth, which had already been dyed deep red with blood.

The atmosphere was oppressive to the extreme.

With shattered bones, mangled flesh, and blood pooling everywhere, the scene resembled a true hell on earth—

a place where any ordinary person would likely faint the moment they laid eyes upon it.

Yet within the rain, several shinobi still stood there, panting heavily.

They did not spare a glance for the corpses on the ground, nor did they care about the rain soaking their hair and clothes.

All of their attention was locked onto Yu Ye.

The Iwagakure shinobi stared at him with bloodshot eyes.

Yu Ye casually carried his ninjatō in one hand, advancing step by step toward the remaining three.

"Earth Release: Earth Spear Barrage!"

One of the jōnin rapidly formed hand seals and slammed his palms into the ground.

RUMBLE—!!

In an instant, countless earthen spears erupted upward beneath Yu Ye's feet, thrusting violently toward him as if to skewer him on the spot.

Facing this attack, Yu Ye did not even bother to dodge.

He simply lifted his foot and lightly stomped downward.

BOOM—!!!

The ground shook violently.

The rising earthen spears shattered instantly, collapsing into rubble as if struck by an irresistible force.

The technique was crushed outright, completely suppressed by a single step.

And it wasn't over yet.

Vibration force erupted from beneath Yu Ye's foot, and spiderweb-like cracks spread rapidly across the ground.

Blood flowed into those fissures, clearing the surface slightly, yet the earth itself remained stained a dark, unyielding red.

The land continued to crumble as the vibrations spread outward.

The three Iwagakure jōnin retreated swiftly, barely avoiding the advancing cracks.

At the very moment they pulled back, Yu Ye suddenly gripped his sword with both hands and swung.

HUM—!!

This slash seemed to cleave space itself.

The air tore apart under the vibration, and a wave of destructive force surged outward toward the three jōnin.

They shouted in unison, forming hand seals midair.

"Earth Release: Earth-Style Wall!"

BOOM—!!

The vibration force smashed through the Earth-Style Wall like dry wood, shattering it instantly.

The three jōnin had already retreated to the very edge of the attack's range, yet they were still grazed by the residual force, their bodies shuddering violently.

"Even at this distance—and after using a defensive technique—we're still being hit.

If it were just a bit stronger, we'd already be seriously injured."

"Damn it… where did Konoha find this monster?

This has to be some kind of bloodline ability."

The two jōnin gritted their teeth, panic flickering in their eyes.

"Enough talk. As long as we stall him, once his chakra runs dry, we can counterattack."

The elite jōnin was just as shaken, but he remained convinced of one thing:

The more violently Yu Ye fought, the more chakra he had to be consuming.

In the end, they would be the ones left standing.

Yu Ye understood their thinking perfectly.

He knew they were trying to drag the fight out—

to wait until his chakra was exhausted.

What they didn't know was that using vibration force alone consumed almost no chakra at all.

Since that was the case…

Then let's continue.

A faint glimmer flashed in Yu Ye's eyes as he looked at the three jōnin.

The killing intent and battle fervor he once had were gone.

What replaced them was something entirely different—

A sense of standing above them.

Yes.

At this point, Yu Ye had more or less confirmed his own strength.

After opening the Third Gate of the True Eight Gates, reaching jōnin-level chakra, advancing his vibration force to the third stage, and gaining access to Sky Shatter, which erased his previous weaknesses—

Against jōnin, Yu Ye's strength was nothing short of overwhelming.

If not for the fact that shinobi teamwork allowed one plus one to be greater than two, these jōnin would have already been completely annihilated.

A single jōnin facing Yu Ye alone would be instantly swept aside.

Even elite jōnin were no exception.

Perhaps those elite jōnin with forbidden techniques or secret arts—the so-called quasi-Kage level—could barely contend with him.

But at this moment, it could already be said:

Below Kage-level, Yu Ye could crush anyone.

And if he relied on his speed, combined with vibration force that barely consumed chakra, he could even ignore conventional numbers altogether.

Unless it was something absurd—like tens of thousands of shinobi supported by dozens of jōnin—

Yu Ye could simply flatten them all.

And now, facing these three Iwagakure jōnin, Yu Ye couldn't even be bothered to use speed to win.

There was no need.

He had already fully grasped their strength—and confirmed that his own power was absolute suppression.

So Yu Ye calmly advanced, sword in hand.

Step by step.

Slash by slash.

He treated the three Iwagakure jōnin as nothing more than living training dummies, refining Sky Shatter in real combat.

Yu Ye advanced one step and swung once—

the three jōnin were forced to combine their defensive techniques to block his attack.

Then they retreated.

Yu Ye took another step.

They retreated again—sometimes several steps at once.

One man.

One sword.

He forced three jōnin to retreat again and again, none of them daring to face his blade head-on.

The scene became strangely surreal.

This no longer looked like a battle between shinobi.

It looked more like a one-sided sparring session.

Yet in reality, the three Iwagakure jōnin were already in agony.

They couldn't charge forward—

they had tested that path countless times, and it led only to death.

They couldn't flee either.

Only by fighting together could they barely block Yu Ye's long-range Sky Shatter.

If they scattered, Yu Ye would simply hunt them down one by one—

his speed was faster than theirs.

So they could only watch helplessly as Yu Ye continued swinging his sword, one strike after another, while their own chakra was drained at a terrifying rate.

At first, they clung to the hope that Yu Ye's chakra would run dry.

But as slash followed slash—

Yu Ye's movements effortless, his aura unchanged—

panic finally set in.

Because their chakra was almost gone.

"What… what is this monster's body even made of?!"

"Is his chakra limitless?! Attacks like this—"

"Cough!"

One jōnin spat out a mouthful of blood.

Even with constant defense, the vibration force still leaked through. After repeated impacts, his body could no longer endure it.

From beginning to end, Yu Ye remained calm—

advancing, swinging, unhurried.

The elite jōnin's expression shifted from surprise, to shock, to disbelief—

and finally, to despair.

He finally understood.

Yu Ye's chakra reserves were nothing like he had imagined.

And more importantly—

Yu Ye could kill them whenever he wished.

He was merely using them as practice targets.

At this moment, the sight of Yu Ye calmly swinging his sword, step by step, etched itself into their minds—

like an unscalable mountain standing before them.

Crushing.

Sweeping.

Utterly irresistible.
