Chapter 8 - Chapter 8

[Scaramouche: Step onto a Path and grasp the power of a Demon God? Heh, what arrogant words.]

[Mona: If Takagi isn't lying, and a Path is truly power opened up by universe-level deities, it might indeed be stronger than a Vision. However... isn't it a bit too exaggerated?]

[Kujou Sara: That's right. No matter how you think about it, something like this is just too unbelievable.]

[Cloud Retainer: Let mortals grasp Demon God-level power? Something like that is simply impossible!]

[Shenhe: But this man possesses the power to resist Stormterror's attack, which means he at least possesses Demon God-level power himself, right?]

[Ningguang: Perhaps this man is not human at all. His essence may be no different from that of a Demon God.]

[Takagi: Lady Ningguang is mistaken. I am a genuine human, not an existence like a Demon God.]

[Ningguang: But how can you prove it? Whether it's about you not being a Demon God, or a Path being superior to a Vision, or the possibility of mortals gaining Demon God-level power by stepping onto one.]

[Takagi: That's easy—as long as someone is willing to go to the universe with me.]

Lumine, Diluc, and the others at Starfell Valley all showed hesitant expressions. Takagi couldn't possibly put all his hopes on just them. Other people in the forum watching Paimon's live stream were also potential customers. He didn't believe that among so many people in Teyvat, there wasn't at least one who dared to go to the universe with him. As long as he offered enough temptation, customers would naturally come.

Takagi felt a little regretful that the template he initially obtained was the Preservation Trailblazer, rather than a template with Abundance power like Luocha or Bailu. Otherwise, he could have shown the people of Teyvat an Abundance miracle to attract them to the stars.

Although being blessed by Yaoshi the Abundance could lead to the appearance of Abundance Abominations, Takagi didn't think simply stepping onto the Path of Abundance would have such negative effects. It wasn't the same as being directly blessed by Yaoshi or becoming an Emanator of Abundance. At most, they would gain a little healing power. The probability of becoming a Mara-Struck was extremely small.

Even if, by a one-in-a-million chance, a person from Teyvat truly became Mara-Struck or an Abundance Abomination, it would only be a very small number of individuals. In a sense, it wouldn't be much different from the erosion of a Demon God in Teyvat. Therefore, a few people involving themselves with a Path would not have a major impact on the continent as a whole. Additionally, since Teyvat was connected by his system, Takagi wouldn't just stand by and let Abominations run rampant.

"I still don't believe in these deities from the universe. I have traveled through various different worlds, but I have never heard of any Aeons. So, although I believe you possess power different from Teyvat's elemental energy, I cannot believe in these 'Aeons'," Lumine said after a long silence, shaking her head.

"Yeah, yeah! No matter how you look at it, deities from the universe are just too exaggerated—even more so than mortals gaining Demon God-level power," Paimon added.

"It's like I said: after traveling with me, you will be able to prove my words. As for the Aeons, I believe those who go to the universe with me will see them," Takagi smiled.

From the system, Takagi had learned that those who stepped onto a Path through him would truly be gazed upon by an Aeon. Therefore, he wasn't worried.

"No one needs to rush to a decision. I will stay on the Teyvat continent for a while longer. If you decide to join the tour group, you can contact me through the forum. But I must remind everyone: if you want to travel, do it early. Next time there will be many competitors, and I can only carry five passengers for now," Takagi said.

He believed that after his first live-broadcasted trip, countless people would want to join him, making those five spots highly contested.

"Lumine, since you are an outsider just like me, I believe you should have more courage than others to travel to the stars. Moreover, if you can truly gain more power by stepping onto a Path, some of your goals might become much easier to achieve," Takagi said meaningfully, placing a hand on Lumine's shoulder.

Hearing his words, Lumine immediately fell silent. That was true; if she had possessed enough strength back then, she and Aether would not have been stopped by the Sustainer of Heavenly Principles. If she had more strength now, her journey to find Aether would be much easier. After all, her opponent was a deity.

Thinking of this, Lumine felt a strange stirring in her heart about traveling with Takagi. 'This man helped us just now, didn't he? He shouldn't be lying about something like this.'

Lumine looked at Takagi, who was already talking to Acting Grand Master Jean, and muttered to herself.
