Chapter 16 - Chapter 16

"No problem." Takagi smiled and said:

"Actually, Lumine, if you decide to travel to Belobog, I can give you a travel ticket directly. Of course, adding Paimon would make it two tickets."

Paimon: "R-really?"

Lumine also looked at Takagi in surprise.

"It's true," Takagi smiled and nodded.

Lumine is the protagonist of Genshin Impact; her talent is top-notch. Takagi felt that if she went to the stars with him, her possibility of stepping onto a Path would be much higher than that of other Teyvat people. Takagi naturally would not let such a talent slip away. After all, when a character from Teyvat steps onto a Path, he can obtain new templates and increase his own Imaginary Energy. In Teyvat, he might be invincible, but in the world of Honkai: Star Rail, he is still far from being a true powerhouse. Therefore, even including Paimon, Takagi was willing to give Lumine special treatment.

Eula: "Since it's already been decided by Takagi, and two tickets are gone at once, I've marked this as a grievance."

Paimon: "Hey, don't hold a grudge against us! If you want to hold a grievance, hold it against Takagi."

Takagi: "Little Paimon, do you still want to travel with Lumine? Actually, I could just take Lumine alone."

Paimon: "Sorry! I said the wrong thing!"

Barbara: "The Honorary Knight took two tickets, so there are only three left."

Noelle: "Looking at it this way, my chances of being selected seem very low."

Kaeya: "Anyway, there are only three travel tickets left. Takagi, why don't we decide on the remaining three people now?"

"Hmph! As expected, the people of the Knights of Favonius cannot be trusted." At this, La Signora's voice came from the doorway.

"Sorry, Acting Grand Master Jean, we couldn't stop her," a knight said behind La Signora with a pained expression.

"It's alright, you can go back," Jean said.

La Signora ignored the wary gazes of Noelle, Eula, Amber, and the others, walking lightly to Takagi's side.

"Lord Takagi, I have sorted out the list of Fatui who plan to go to the stars. If the Knights of Favonius plan to finalize the list now, then please include my list in the selection process," La Signora said, looking coldly at Acting Grand Master Jean and the others.

"Alright, since everyone's lists are ready, deciding early is a good option," Takagi said.

Now that the names were gathered, the next step was the lottery. Under the joint supervision of Acting Grand Master Jean, La Signora, and the others, Lord Takagi personally conducted the drawing. Soon, the remaining three travelers were selected.

"Miss Barbara, Acting Grand Master Jean, and Klee. Congratulations to the three of you. Adding Paimon and the Traveler from before, our five-person travel team is now decided. Hmm, Klee doesn't seem to be here," Takagi said.

Diluc: "..."

Lisa: "What a pity."

Rosaria: "Was I not chosen?"

Barbara: "I... I was chosen? And my sister was chosen, too?!"

Acting Grand Master Jean: "Wait, wait! Why was Klee chosen? She shouldn't even be on the list!"

"Well, I'll explain," Lisa spoke up and recounted how Klee had found Takagi earlier.

"Takagi must have added Klee's name while everyone wasn't paying attention. But did you really not cheat, Takagi? You actually drew Klee," Lisa looked at him with curiosity.

Takagi shook his head and said, "You've misunderstood me, Miss Lisa. I've already let Lumine and Paimon take the back door, but for the remaining three spots, I wouldn't arbitrarily choose anyone. Although I really wanted to take the lovely Miss Klee to the universe, she was chosen entirely because she has great luck."

Lisa smiled and nodded, then looked at Barbara and Acting Grand Master Jean: "Barbara was chosen, and it's good that Acting Grand Master Jean was as well. Otherwise, Jean might be quite worried."

Acting Grand Master Jean: "Klee... I need to have a serious talk with her!"

Allowing Barbara to venture into the universe was already a massive decision for Jean. To let the very young Klee go as well was a choice she couldn't easily make.

"Don't worry too much, Acting Grand Master Jean. Weren't you also chosen? That's much luckier than me. Moreover, none of the Fatui were chosen. I think that's something we should be happier about," Kaeya clapped his hands and smiled, looking at La Signora, who had clenched her fists beside him.

"Hmph!" La Signora snorted coldly at Kaeya. However, in front of Takagi, she didn't let her anger erupt.

"Takagi, can't you really take one more passenger? We Fatui are willing to pay double... no, ten times the travel expenses," La Signora said.

Takagi shook his head and said, "I'm afraid not, La Signora. Since the rules have been set, they must be followed. But you don't need to be too discouraged. My travel agency won't only operate for one day. If you weren't chosen this time, perhaps you'll be chosen next time. Maybe next time you can even go to a place you like more. The destination won't always be Belobog on Jarilo-VI."

Kaeya: "That's right, rules are rules. Changing them arbitrarily isn't a good thing."

Rosaria: "As Takagi said, you should just wait for next time, La Signora of the Fatui."

Lisa: "That's right. Even I have to wait for next time; there's no reason why you should be able to break the rules."

Diluc: "If the Fatui have nothing else to say, they should leave. You're not welcome here."

Hearing their words, La Signora could only grit her teeth. "I'll remember the attitude of the Knights of Favonius. Don't think this is over."

She snorted coldly at Acting Grand Master Jean and the others, then turned to look at Takagi. "Lord Takagi, if you change your mind, please message me privately. The price is negotiable. I will always be waiting for your news," La Signora said.
