Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Teyvat

"Ohhh—so that's how it works."

After listening to Paimon's explanation, Natsuyu finally understood the system's mechanism for deploying characters.

In short, once a character appears in this world, they are automatically granted a legitimate identity—one that can withstand investigation.

There was, however, one more thing Natsuyu couldn't help but wonder.

"Paimon… then can these characters still use their combat skills and Elemental Bursts?"

She had noticed this earlier. Although the characters' outfits had been toned down—no longer as extravagant as in the game—the Vision hadn't been removed. Alhaitham's Vision still hung from his coat, identical in design to the one in Genshin Impact.

What Natsuyu wasn't sure about was whether Visions would still function in the Detective Conan world. After all, even though she'd heard jokes about Conan being able to kick satellites out of orbit, this was still fundamentally a physical world. It might restrict game-like abilities.

Paimon replied seriously:

"Traveler, normally, in order to conform to a world's laws, abilities that exceed common human understanding would be sealed."

She paused.

"But—you should know—this world has witches."

"Witches?"

Natsuyu frowned in confusion. While Detective Conan often featured crimes committed under the guise of monsters or witches, the truth was always mundane—human perpetrators, no real supernatural elements.

Then, suddenly, a name flashed through her mind.

Kaitō Kid.

That's right—Detective Conan didn't exist alone. There was also Magic Kaito, set in the same world. And in that story, witches did exist—most notably Koizumi Akako, Kaitō Kid's classmate.

"So what you're saying is… because this world contains genuine supernatural elements, character abilities can still be used?"

Paimon nodded eagerly.

"Exactly! And the effects are almost the same as in Teyvat. When abilities are used, the Visions will light up too!"

Then she lowered her voice dramatically.

"But Traveler, you really should keep it low-key. I heard that if scientists find out, they might capture you and slice you up for research! Ugh—just thinking about it is terrifying!"

Her voice trembled; she'd clearly frightened herself.

Natsuyu chuckled softly and reassured her.

"Don't worry, Paimon. We'll be careful. And even if someone sees something, we can always pass it off as magic tricks. Some of Kaitō Kid's performances are practically magic anyway."

Paimon relaxed, her tone brightening again.

"Then, Traveler—do you have any other questions?"

"Not right now," Natsuyu replied. "But I've been thinking… maybe I should establish an organization."

"An organization?" Paimon tilted her head. "Why would you think of that?"

"Think about it," Natsuyu explained. "I'll definitely summon more characters in the future. People with different identities, yet connected in subtle ways—and all wearing similar accessories. The detectives in this world will definitely notice. When that happens, they'll assume we're part of the same group anyway."

She smiled faintly.

"If they're going to imagine one, I might as well create it myself—before they overthink things."

She then recalled her main quest.

"Besides, if I want to balance the power between the Red and Black factions, I'll need influence. An organization makes things much more convenient."

Paimon nodded, pretending to stroke an imaginary beard.

"Hmm~ That does make a lot of sense."

"Since it's an organization, it needs a name," Natsuyu said thoughtfully. "Hopefully something decent. I'm not asking for grandeur, but at least something better than 'Black Organization.' Honestly, it sounds like a clothing brand."

The moment naming came up, Paimon's excitement burst free.

"How about 'Whirling Mushroom Beast Squad'?" she suggested brightly. "It's catchy!"

Natsuyu froze.

"…Absolutely not."

That was somehow even worse than the Black Organization.

"Then—'Darknight Heroes'?"

"No. Too edgy. And stealing Diluc's title feels wrong."

...

After several ideas were mercilessly rejected, Paimon finally slumped.

"Ugh—Traveler, naming things is so hard! Then let's just call it… 'Teyvat.'"

Natsuyu's eyes lit up.

"Teyvat."

"…Hey!" Paimon thought about it seriously. "That actually works."

Encouraged, Natsuyu continued.

"The Black Organization has divisions like intelligence and operations, right? We can do that too. Each nation corresponds to a department."

She spoke faster and faster as the idea took shape.

"Mondstadt handles diplomacy.

Liyue manages finance.

Inazuma oversees intelligence.

Sumeru is responsible for research.

Fontaine enforces organizational law.

Snezhnaya—the Fatui—handles military power."

"Departments are identified by Vision designs. The Seven Archons form the executive council."

By the time she finished, the framework was already complete.

"Clap clap clap!"

Paimon applauded enthusiastically inside her consciousness.

"Traveler—you're amazing!"

"Ah—come on…" Natsuyu scratched her cheek, embarrassed by the straightforward praise.

"Alright, then it's settled. I'll talk to Alhaitham about it tomorrow. It's late—time to sleep."

"Mm~" Paimon replied softly as Natsuyu closed her eyes.

"Good night, Traveler."

With everything finally sorted out, the tension holding Natsuyu together melted away. Drowsiness washed over her, and she vaguely heard Paimon's voice.

"Good night, Paimon."

Silence soon followed.

The next morning, sunlight flooded the room as Natsuyu opened her eyes.

After washing up, she stepped out of the bedroom and found Alhaitham already awake, seated by the window with a book in hand. Breakfast was neatly laid out on the table.

"Since you're up, eat while it's still warm," he said without looking up.

"Oh—okay."

Caught off guard by someone preparing breakfast for her, Natsuyu froze for a moment before quickly thanking him.

"No need. It was just bread and milk from the kitchen. I processed them a bit. I was eating anyway."

He turned a page.

After finishing breakfast and cleaning up, Natsuyu shared her plan from the previous night.

Alhaitham closed his book.

"Interesting. A sound and feasible concept. I see no issues—let's proceed as you suggested."

He added casually,

"As for me, I'm here as a scholar invited for academic exchange with a research institute. I'm currently staying at the Cupido Hotel. The next few days are free; formal exchanges begin in three days."

(Yes, I know Alhaitham belongs to the Haravatat—this is simplified here.)

"Academic exchange?" Natsuyu asked curiously.

"Which institute?"

"White Dove Pharmaceuticals."

"…What?"
