Chapter 5 - The Next Day - A Dangerous Contradiction

The forest never slept.

But that day, it hunted.

Anthony sensed it -

the birds fleeing, the low growls moving unnaturally fast.

Someone powerful had entered the forest.

And the forest answered with violence.

Katerea Leviathan moved through the trees with irritation clear on her face.

A noble devil.

A member of the Leviathan bloodline.

Sent not out of concern-but ambition.

Katerea (thinking):

Benemune was wounded. If I find her first...

Her lips curled.

Katerea:

"...The Satans will praise me."

She didn't expect resistance.

That was her mistake.

The Forest Bites Back

A roar shattered the air.

From the shadows lunged a massive beast-

its body fused with cursed roots, eyes glowing crimson.

Katerea reacted instantly, releasing demonic energy-

-but the forest suppressed it.

The beast struck.

Claws tore through her side.

Another slammed her into a tree.

Katerea screamed.

Katerea:

"Damn it-!"

More monsters emerged.

Too many.

Her magic flared wildly, burning some back, but blood soaked her clothes.

She stumbled, vision blurring.

Katerea (thinking):

This forest... is wrong-

Then-

Dark chains snapped through the air.

The monsters were crushed, dragged screaming into the shadows.

Silence fell.

Katerea collapsed to her knees, gasping.

She looked up.

A boy stood before her.

Torn clothes.

Scarred skin.

Eyes calm-but alert.

And a face that made her blood run cold.

Recognition Without Power

Katerea froze.

Katerea:

"...Lucifer?"

Anthony confused

Anthony:(thoughts)

"That name again?"

He stepped closer, carefully.

Anthony:

"You're bleeding."

She recoiled instinctively, trying to summon pressure-

Nothing answered.

She focused harder.

Still nothing.

Her eyes widened.

Katerea:

"...No demonic aura?"

Impossible.

She stared at him again.

The face was unmistakable.

The resemblance undeniable.

But the presence-

Empty.

Confusion and Fear

Katerea:

"What are you?"

Anthony tore cloth from his sleeve and pressed it against her wound.

Anthony:

"Someone who lives here."

Her breath caught.

Katerea:

"That's not possible."

She grabbed his wrist.

Katerea:

"Why is a devil living here?."

Anthony met her gaze, unflinching.

Anthony:

"well ,even i don't know how I end up here. come here , I'll help you."

The chains shifted behind him-

subtle, instinctive.

Katerea noticed.

Her pupils shrank.

Katerea:(thinking)

"That chains..... that's lady lilith special trait. So this boy is son of lord lucifer and lady lilith.I think they abandoned him because he is powerless. That's why the underworld didn't about his existence"

Katerea swallowed.

A Leviathan noble.

Injured.

Saved by a boy with no power.

And worse-

A boy who shouldn't exist.

Katerea:

"...Why did you save me?"

Anthony answered simply.

Anthony:

"You were going to die."

She laughed weakly-half disbelief, half hysteria.

Katerea:

"You don't even know what you've done."

He tilted his head.

Katerea leaned back against the tree, breathing hard.

Katerea (thinking):

If the Satans see him...

A Failure like him

She stared at the boy standing before her.

That face.

Lucifer's face.

Her blood screamed in rejection.

Katerea (inner thought):

A mockery.

She focused again, extending her senses carefully.

Still nothing.

No demonic pressure.

No magical resonance.

Empty.

Her fingers curled slightly.

Katerea (inner thought):

A Leviathan is born to command seas and devils alike...

And this thing-

This thing carried the face of the Satan Lucifer, without even the dignity of power.

To her, that was worse than weakness.

It was filth.

Bloodline Pride

Katerea was not just a noble devil.

She was a direct descendant of Satan Leviathan.

Satan bloodline meant:

• Absolute superiority

• Natural dominance

• Innate authority over lesser devils

From birth, she was taught one truth:

"Power proves blood."

And this boy proved the opposite.

Katerea (inner thought):

If the underworld knew something like you existed...

Her jaw tightened.

They would erase you.

Control Over Expression

But Katerea did not sneer.

Did not insult.

Did not strike.

Because she had another plan

She was nobility.

She masked her disgust behind composure, schooling her face into neutrality.

She spoke evenly.

Katerea:

"...You live here alone?"

Anthony nodded.

Anthony:

"Yes."

Her revulsion deepened.

Katerea (with fake smile):

"Thank you for saving me"

Anthony:

"It's ok. Who are you and how did you end up here?"

Katerea:

"My name is....katerea. i was told in this forest there are many monsters. So i came here to become strong by fighting them. (That's a lie)

[But our Anthony here is to innocent to catch that lie and believes that]

Anthony :

"Oh ,you also want to become strong huh"

Katerea:

"Yeah. I want to become strong so i can help anyone in the world who is in danger.(That's also a lie). Don't you want to become strong?

Anthony:

"Ofcourse I want to. I'll become strong even without demonic power and help others."

That unsettled her.

She looked back at him.

No arrogance.

No submission.

No awareness of what he represented.

Just calm.

That disturbed her more than hatred.

Katerea (inner thought):

You don't even know how wrong you are.

She straightened slowly, wincing as pain flared.

Anthony moved instinctively to help-

She raised a hand.

Not harsh.

But firm.

Katerea:

"I'm fine."

She would not allow that filthy hands to touch her again.

Not out of fear-

But pride.

A Leviathan's Judgment

Katerea met his eyes, searching for something-

resentment, ambition, deceit.

She found none.

Only survival.

Her disgust twisted into something colder.

Katerea (inner thought):

You are an insult to Satan blood...

And yet...

The chains.

The forest.

The survival.

Her thoughts slowed.

...you shouldn't exist.

Katerea Leviathan looked at the powerless boy with Lucifer's face

and felt something worse than anger.

She felt shame by association.

And she vowed-

I'll make sure you will meet the death more than anyone could imagine.
