"Sure, it's a perfect time to take the Princess out for a stroll; she needs to get some sun. Old lady, open the door and send Kaguya, Reisen, and the others over."

Yagokoro Eirin nodded indifferently. It might sound a bit impolite, but her tone made it seem like she was preparing to take the family dog out for a walk.

Gensokyo's workaholic waited for a moment until three Gaps opened. With a cry of "Ouch!", a dark figure fell from the sky and was caught by Eirin.

Houraisan Kaguya Race: Lunarian Ability: Ability to manipulate eternity and the instantaneous Occupation: Unemployed, Shut-in, Gaming Expert, Moon Princess Residence: Eientei, Fujiwara Household Unlock Condition: Run a bar and place a game console inside.

Reisen, wearing a small suit, stood obediently behind Eirin. The rabbit ears on her head scanned the surroundings like radar as she greeted Leo.

Reisen Udongein Inaba Race: Moon Rabbit Ability: Ability to manipulate wavelengths Occupation: Pet, Doctor's Apprentice Residence: Eientei Unlock Condition: Either Yagokoro Eirin or Houraisan Kaguya moves in.

"Oh my, so this is Stardew Valley? I think I smell a kindred spirit."

Tewi Inaba, who was about the same height as the Little Kappas, appeared from behind Reisen with a mysterious smile. Although they were both rabbits, she and Reisen belonged to completely different races; her ears were soft and hung down like hair.

As for the "kindred spirit" she mentioned, Tewi wasn't referring to rabbits, but to the mutual appreciation and shared "scent" between troublemakers. Having just arrived, Tewi instinctively began looking for a good place to hide, which was when she spotted Aya Shameimaru lurking in a nearby tree.

Tewi Inaba Race: Youkai Rabbit Ability: Ability to bring luck to humans Occupation: Leader of the Earth Rabbits Residence: Eientei, Bamboo Forest of the Lost Unlock Condition: Obtain a Prismatic Shard through abnormal means.

All members of Eientei had arrived.

"Eirin, what are you doing! It's so bright, I'm going to melt in the sun~~"

With long black hair trailing on the ground, Kaguya shielded her eyes with her sleeves and let out a listless wail, burying her face in Eirin's chest to avoid the sun.

This was the legendary, noble Moon Princess. Nowadays, she was just a shut-in princess who didn't want to leave the house, only caring about gaming and reading novels. She needed her meals delivered to her room, couldn't stand the light, and was utterly unkempt. As she struggled in Eirin's arms, her smooth, fair legs were exposed from beneath her kimono.

Time is a magical thing, isn't it? Even the immortal Hourai people have ended up like this.

"Pardon the unsightly behavior. I'm counting to three!"

Reaching out to adjust Kaguya's kimono, Eirin gave Leo an embarrassed smile before her face immediately shifted as she began the countdown.

"Three!"

"Two!"

"Greetings. I am Houraisan Kaguya. It is a pleasure to meet you."

As if a frame had been dropped, the shut-in who was just exposing herself in Eirin's arms vanished instantly. Standing before Leo was the elegantly poised Moon Princess. Every movement exuded legendary nobility, making Leo feel like a crude country bumpkin who had just stepped into the city.

So that's how the ability to manipulate eternity and the instantaneous is used? I've learned something.

"Hello, you can just call me Leo. Since everyone is here, let's head out. There's not much to see on the mountain. I'll take you for a tour of the town, then to the farm for a meal together."

"Eirin, carry me~~"

"Three!"

The walk down the mountain was peaceful. The five of them walked ahead, while Tewi quietly lagged behind. She made a hand gesture behind her back—a signal used by the troublemakers of Gensokyo. Once they were far enough from the group, Aya flickered into existence beside her.

"I wondered where you'd disappeared to lately. So you've been stalking people here? Got any new scoops?"

Trailing far behind the others, Tewi questioned Aya curiously. The reporter looked like she was having a rough time; her white shirt was stained with dust.

"I was set up by that Yakumo Yukari and I'm stuck here for three months. Do me a favor and bring me a new camera."

Aya was exhausted. While sleeping rough was nothing for a youkai, she currently had nothing to do and was nearly reduced to eating her own clothes.

"Here, have a bite to tide you over. I was in a hurry, so I only have this one. I'll figure out a way to get a camera to you."

Tewi pulled a carrot from her person and handed it to Aya.Shutterstock

As fellow members of the Gensokyo Troublemakers' Alliance, they followed a code of mutual assistance, never backstabbing one another and helping out when in distress. This organization was a frequent target whenever Gensokyo conducted a crackdown on vice and disorder.

Whenever an Incident or major event occurred, rounding up this group for a beating first was almost never a mistake.

"Thanks, I'll remember this favor."

Chewing slowly on the slightly sweet carrot, she mused that the Bamboo Forest of the Lost was rich in resources—bamboo shoots, bamboo worms, bamboo rats... as long as one wasn't a picky eater, life there was quite comfortable. Tewi didn't mind sparing a single carrot.

"That's enough, I need to catch up. Go back into hiding. Take care."

Tewi quickened her pace and skipped to catch up with the group. Behind her, Aya finished the carrot and vanished once more.

Eirin glanced back at the approaching Tewi. Knowing this troublemaker who loved teasing Reisen every day, she didn't need to look to know she was up to no good again. But that was between the younger ones, so she wouldn't interfere. These experiences of pranking and being pranked would become precious memories one day.

"This way is the town. Currently, Chen, Yukari, Nitori, and Marisa have all accepted invitations and found houses in Stardew Valley. Your invitation conditions are a bit more complicated, so I'll invite you as soon as they're unlocked."

Walking through the town streets, Leo introduced the buildings on both sides. They happened to run into Chen sunbathing on the grass, so the group decided to sit down and chat.

"Ah~~ so comfortable. I want to take a nap."

Kaguya lay spread-eagled on the grass. Her Moon Princess persona had vanished halfway through the walk when she jumped onto Eirin's back to be carried.

"Hey kid, do you have any carrots here?"

Having given her only carrot to Aya, Tewi felt a bit bored with nothing to chew on.

"Carrots? I haven't dug any up yet. Lately, all I get from tilling the soil is clay; I haven't found any carrot seeds yet. If you have seeds, you could sell me some, and I'll plant them."

Leo strode Chen's back. He was also feeling frustrated. He had dug up a few "Artifact Spots" recently, but they were all useless clay. Weren't carrot seeds supposed to be common?
