Chapter 57 - Chapter 57: Little Senti: Old Timer, You’re Actually a Villain?!

Chapter 57: Little Senti: Old Timer, You're Actually a Villain?!

"I've told you before—knock when you come in."

Fu Hua irritably reached out and flicked Senti's forehead.

"And don't call me Old Timer."

The newcomer was the Herrscher of Sentience. In this world, her identity was Fu Hua's younger sister, and her name was Fu Shi. Although she was the younger sister, to outsiders, they looked more like a mother and daughter... After all, the personality gap between the two wasn't just large; they were complete polar opposites.

"Fine, Old Timer."

"..."

She sat down in the chair next to Fu Hua, sprawling out in a relaxed mess, clearly exhausted. She immediately began complaining to Fu Hua.

"Old Timer, when are you finally going back to the Taixu Sect! I'm being driven crazy by those disciples of yours!"

"Do you have any idea how hard it is to be a Master?"

"Ugh! I should never have agreed to this! I totally fell into your trap!"

Before Fu Hua had left for her job at Schicksal, Senti had experienced a sudden whim to enjoy the prestige of being the Sect Leader. She looked nearly identical to Fu Hua, was highly skilled in martial arts, and Fu Hua was highly respected, upright, and a model student... So, if Fu Hua could be the Sect Leader, why couldn't Senti?

Consequently, she had reached out to the Old Timer to demand the status of "Acting Sect Leader," transforming herself overnight to seize the opportunity to show off.

She hadn't realized that being the Leader of the Taixu Sect was not a job for humans! She had to wake up at 6:00 AM every morning to supervise the disciples' morning drills! She had to solve all sorts of problems! After breakfast, she had to teach the disciples academic courses—Great heroes serve the people, martial virtue must be abundant, cultivate the self, and nourish the soul...

By the end of the day, she was spinning like a top without a moment's rest! Even worse, Fu Hua's eldest disciple, Cheng Lixue, was constantly watching her every move, insisting that the Acting Sect Leader lead by example and be a role model for the disciples!

She couldn't take it. Who could do such a job? The Sect Leader position—it was better not to have it!! Having made up her mind, she dropped everything and ran away in one fluid motion.

"You, you..."

Looking at the slouching Senti, Fu Hua held her forehead, feeling quite helpless. Should she call this sister free-spirited and casual, or simply unruly and unconventional?

"Huh! Old Timer, you're playing this game too?"

Senti looked at Honkai Impact 3rd on Fu Hua's computer screen and sat bolt upright, her face full of shock.

"After all, Student Kiana came to ask for permission from the Taixu Sect disciples, including myself, a few days ago. Naturally, I had to try it out personally."

"Old Timer, playing games isn't a crime. Why do you need so many righteous excuses? Is it because it's fun? Is it because you love playing? Just say it!!"

"Well..."

Senti leaned in with a smirk, grabbed the mouse, and looked at the Valkyries Fu Hua owned. One look was enough to startle her. Fu Hua only had two S-rank Valkyries, Knight Moonbeam and Blood Rose. As for other A-rank Valkyries, she didn't have many either...

She opened the Stigma inventory and saw... good heavens: Shennong, Xiao Xuan, Briareus...

"Pfft! What is up with this super-hilarious account, Old Timer?!" Senti couldn't hold it back and burst out laughing. "Only two S-ranks, and the Stigmata are just a pile of junk! Why even bother, hahaha!!"

Senti checked Fu Hua's progress and was shocked to find that, excluding the chapters updated today, Fu Hua had completed all previous content. She wasn't shocked by the grind; she was shocked that with so many resources, the account was still this miserable.

"Old Timer, what exactly have you been doing??"

Senti looked at Fu Hua in disbelief. For a free-to-play player who had spent these days grinding out the story and events, combined with the various launch benefits of Honkai Impact 3rd, she should have at least a few S-rank Valkyries. Even the Stigmata should have formed at least one signature set, right?

"Let me see your pull history... Holy crap!"

After checking Fu Hua's gacha logs, Senti couldn't help but swear. The pull rates for Honkai 3rd were public. While it relied on luck, the probability would increase if you went too long without a hit. Getting one at fifty pulls was decent, and an unlucky player might hit sixty or seventy. Going past ninety—that was truly a legendary "African" (unlucky) player.

Of course, extremes meet. If you could hit the jackpot exactly on the final pity pull... in a sense, that was a different kind of "European" (lucky) status.

Old Timer's Blood Rose was genuinely hit on the very last pity pull...

"Old Timer, you're incredible! Someone can actually be so unlucky they only hit on the last pull! No, I absolutely have to post your logs on the forums! Hahaha!! This is too funny!!"

At this moment, Fu Hua really felt like giving this girl an Inch Edge: Sky Shatter. You brat, I'm already this unlucky and you're still laughing at me?!

"Old Timer, if you can't handle it, play on my account!"

Senti opened her phone to show her account—looking at the rows of S-rank Valkyries, Fu Hua felt like her eyes were being blinded! Naturally, the most prominent ones were the two Valkyries set as "Favorites" at the very front. One was Accipiter and the other was Shadow Knight: Moon, both at SSS-rank, equipped with signature weapons and Stigmata!

"Compared to you, Old Timer, I'm far behind. My unluckiest streak was taking a whole fifty pulls to get a hit..."

Senti showed off her account with a smug grin. Fu Hua rolled her eyes, chose to ignore the brat, and continued the game.

"Old Timer, are you on the latest plot? I haven't played it yet, let me see!" Senti pulled up a chair and leaned in close to Fu Hua, staring at the screen. Fu Hua was helpless but said nothing more.

In the game's plot, Kiana had finally managed to defeat the Second Herrscher, only for the space around her to suddenly collapse. The Babylon Labs, the Second Herrscher, and her beloved mother Cecilia all vanished.

Fu Hua, wearing the [Shadow Knight: Moon]armor, appeared before Kiana, mercilessly shattering her illusions—everything just now was a trick by the Second Herrscher. In fact, after entering that space, Kiana hadn't moved at all; she had been standing still the whole time.

Everything she saw and pursued was fake. Her desperate struggle to protect her mother was merely a phantom created by Sirin using her desires!

"Pfft! Old Timer, you're a real genius at conversation!" Senti laughed out loud. "Who comforts people like that! No, you're not comforting her at all; you're basically rubbing salt in Kiana's wounds!!"
