"You....you... you're....an... ascended",as the guard utterd theses words his head exploded into bloody chunks where he had once stood . The prisoner slowly turned around staring at the guard and back at Amanda who was now approaching him.
"Xavi,look at what they did to you let me help"as she tried to pulls off his chains an unimaginable pressure felt exerted on all that were in the prison, feeling this Amanda cursed under her breath. "No way,damn... they're here"
By they she was referring to the group of 3 men that seemingly appeared in the prison their eyes glowing blue,orange and green respectively.
"Amanda...you have broken the divine law and shall be punished"one of them spoke his words teeming with power
What happened next couldn't be explained by logic, Amanda's eyes glowed purple once more as she moves unimaginably fast leaving afterimages in her strides.
The world had changed a long time ago, when one day a beast of unimaginable power descended from the sky and wiped out an entire city with a flap of it's wing....some say the gods had pity some say the monster itself gave it to us but the truth we don't know, all we know is after the appearance of the monstrosity, a flame began to burn in each of the seven continents. One was red, another blue and the others purple,orange,green, white and the last one no one knows but some say it was black like the scales if the monster itself. These flames gave power to the humans until they could give no more. But they served their purpose, empowering the humans with supernatural abilities to fight against the beast. Despite all misconceptions, location didn't affect the flame that you were given but rather the flame chose whoever it chose
(Red gave flame and lightning powers)
(Blue gave water and ice powers)
(Orange nearly indestructible skin and inhuman strength )
(Purple might be the most precarious of them all with speed that rivaled gods)
(The white flame gave control over light those that beared it gained unimaginable power during the day and lost it during the night)
(Green has dominion over nature and all that has to do with it)
Practically nothing is known about the bearers of the black flames as they were all killed by the monster itself but all that was known was it had dominion over darkness and shadows.
Though these powers were general,a magical system helped humans gain their own unique abilities. And with holes in gates getting discovered as rifts with monsters spewing out of them these powers became more and more useful and these empowered humans came to be known as the ascended.
