Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Sasuke Comes Knocking

Sasuke cried out in pain and fell to the ground. Ino's heart ached, and she quickly ran to him to help him up.

"Shikamaru, you went too far! How could you attack Sasuke with Six Meridian Divine Sword?"

Having played the game for so many days, the three of them naturally knew that these martial arts also had different levels of power.

Just like Ninjutsu has S, A, B, C, D Ranks.

The Songfeng Sword Technique, which Ino first Cultivated, was the lowest-level martial art in the game.

And the Six Meridian Divine Sword that Shikamaru used was the most powerful martial art.

Using the most powerful martial art to attack a child who hadn't even graduated from the Ninja Academy was, to some extent, indeed quite excessive.

"He ambushed me just now."

Shikamaru already disliked Sasuke. If it weren't for Ino, he wouldn't have bothered with Sasuke at all.

But Sasuke tried to ambush him just now. Not using the Lesser Shang Sword to put a hole in Sasuke could be considered respecting their friendship as classmates.

"Let go, I don't need your hypocritical help."

Sasuke stood up and directly shook off Ino, glaring at Shikamaru with a look of resentment.

"Sasuke, I think you need to calm down. Shikamaru and Ino aren't lying to you."

Choji, who had been quiet, felt that this couldn't continue. What if another conflict broke out later and Shikamaru seriously injured Sasuke?

Whether Sasuke lived or died had nothing to do with him; he was mainly afraid of affecting the relationship between the three of them.

"Shikamaru, Ino, let's go first. Once Sasuke enters the internet cafe, he'll naturally understand that we weren't lying to him."

"Ino, listen to Choji. Let's leave first and let Sasuke find the 'truth' himself."

Ino wasn't stupid; she naturally knew that Sasuke wouldn't believe anything they said at this moment.

Rather than that, it was better to let Sasuke experience the magic of the internet cafe himself.

"Sasuke, I'm leaving now. You have to believe me, I really didn't lie to you."

After saying that, Ino gave Sasuke a reluctant look and then left the alley with Shikamaru and Choji.

"Did I really misunderstand them?"

Watching the three leave, Sasuke couldn't help but fall into contemplation.

"Forget it, why think so much? Like they said, if I just go to that shop called an internet cafe, I'll naturally know if they're lying to me."

Shaking his head, Sasuke clutched his injured left arm and began walking towards the internet cafe.

Not long after, Sasuke arrived at his destination, where he saw a young man lying in a chair, looking conflicted.

That's right, even now, Ge Liang hadn't decided whether to explore Konoha or continue staying at the internet cafe.

Perhaps he was too lost in thought, as Ge Liang didn't even notice Sasuke when he arrived at the entrance.

"Ahem, are you the owner of this internet cafe?"

Sasuke waited for a while and realized that this guy hadn't noticed him at all, so he couldn't help but pretend to cough, reminding the owner that there was a living person here.

"Uh, sorry, I was thinking about something just now."

"It's fine."

Sasuke gently shook his head and continued, "I heard that this place can make people stronger?"

"Stronger?"

Hearing this, Ge Liang knew that this brat must have been introduced by Ino and the others; otherwise, he wouldn't know that this place could make people stronger.

He sized up the brat.

Handsome face, cold demeanor, and the Uchiha Clan's fan crest on his clothes—it was clear at a glance that this guy was Uchiha Sasuke.

But, that shouldn't be the case.

Watching Sasuke constantly clutching his left arm, Ge Liang's careful observation revealed a thin layer of sweat on his forehead.

This clearly indicated an injury.

At this age, who could defeat Sasuke?

Was it Rock Lee?

Or Hyuga Neji?

Besides these two, Ge Liang really couldn't think of any other peer who could injure Sasuke.

As for adults?

Hmm, adults probably wouldn't be so bored as to bully an Uchiha orphan.

No.

Besides the two peers mentioned above, there were also Ino and the other two.

These three also had the strength to injure Sasuke.

Ino definitely wouldn't fight Sasuke.

The one who fought him was either Shikamaru or Choji.

"So, were you injured by Choji or Shikamaru?"

Sasuke was startled; he hadn't expected Ge Liang to ask this question, but in order to become stronger, he could only answer honestly.

"It was Shikamaru."

"I see."

Ge Liang nodded, thinking about Sasuke's terrible personality, and he could probably guess the general situation.

"You're quite something, to actually force such a lazy person to take action. In a way, you're quite a talent."

Hearing this, Sasuke gritted his teeth but didn't speak.

"Alright, this place can indeed make you stronger. Come on in with me."

After confirming his suspicions, Ge Liang didn't ask any more questions but led Sasuke into the internet cafe.

To be honest, when Sasuke entered the internet cafe, he was quite disappointed.

It's not Sasuke's fault; anyone seeing this environment would be disappointed.

Dilapidated walls, an old cashier counter, and what was even worse, there were cobwebs in the corner.

"Don't mind that this place is a bit rundown, but once you play for an hour, you won't want to leave."

Ge Liang naturally saw Sasuke's disappointed expression.

So he calmly spoke to Sasuke, trying to boost his confidence.

But secretly, he was roaring furiously.

'Damn it, don't I want to work in a good environment?'

'Why does everyone who comes in look disappointed?'

'I'm so sorry that this place is so dilapidated.'

Ge Liang swore that as soon as he got permission, he would definitely spend the money on renovations first, making this place high-end, grand, and classy, so that people would exclaim 'Holy crap' as soon as they entered.

"Do you know how I charge here?"

"No."

Sasuke hadn't learned about the pricing from Ino and the other two; he only knew that he could get stronger here by spending money.

"See that computer over there? That's the machine that will make you stronger."

"Ten thousand Ryo for one hour of playtime."

"I'm telling you, even though my prices are expensive, it's definitely worth every..."

Before Ge Liang could finish, he saw Sasuke pull out two ten-thousand Ryo bills from his pocket.

"Here, I hope this place really can make me stronger."

"Don't worry, don't worry, you'll definitely be satisfied."

Ge Liang, having received the money, was in high spirits. He didn't care if Sasuke had learned how to play the game from Ino; he just explained everything to Sasuke in one go.

"Let me briefly tell you how to play this game... blah blah blah, blah blah blah."

Just kidding, Sasuke was different from Ino and those other poor guys; his Family had a huge inheritance.

Even though Konoha reclaimed most of it, leaving only a small portion for Sasuke, it was still an astronomical sum for ordinary people.

As long as Sasuke was convinced, the one-million Ryo mission could be easily completed.

To complete the mission sooner, gain more permissions, and renovate this dilapidated house earlier, it was no wonder Ge Liang was so attentive.

"Oh, right, can you tell me how Shikamaru injured you?"

Ge Liang naturally knew that Shikamaru was very strong now. He was very interested in how Shikamaru injured Sasuke, so after introducing the game to Sasuke, he asked.

He just didn't expect that a simple question would make Sasuke give him the middle finger.

Screw you, Sasuke, you've gone too far! Don't make me angry and flip the table!
