Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

Tokyo was… noisy.

Glober stood within the body of Kurosaki Koichi in the middle of a crowded street, his eyes staring in every direction, barely blinking.

Skyscrapers, massive screens, trains running above and below the ground, and humans flowing like an endless current.

"High population density…

Noise…

This planet is unnaturally active."

He began observing everything carefully:

the way people walked, traffic signals, sounds, clothing.

Then… his gaze stopped.

A group of teenage girls passed by him, wearing school skirts despite the cold weather.

Koichi—no, rather, Glober—stared at them with pure scientific focus.

"The temperature is low…

Why aren't you wearing pants to protect yourselves from the cold?"

The girls froze in place.

A brief silence followed… then it exploded.

— "W-What?!"

— "How rude!"

— "Are you kidding us?!"

Before Glober could understand the cause of the disturbance, a bag slammed hard into his shoulder.

"Warning: Fabric bag attack detected."

The girls stepped back, glaring at him with clear annoyance.

"My question was logical."

"I did not intend to disturb you."

But humans… were not logical.

Suddenly, laughter was heard.

— "Hahaha… your face was priceless."

Glober turned around.

A girl stood a short distance away, about his age, a bag slung over her shoulder, trying to hold back her laughter.

— "You shouldn't ask girls about their clothes like that, especially if you're a stranger."

Glober stared at her expressionlessly.

— "What is your name?"

— "How old are you?"

— "And how much do you weigh?"

Her expression changed instantly.

— "Huh?!"

She stepped closer… then lightly punched him on the head.

— "All of those questions are inappropriate! You should never ask a girl things like that!"

Glober felt no pain, but he recorded the information immediately.

"Understood:

Asking personal questions is considered hostile behavior… acknowledged."

The girl sighed, then looked at him again.

— "You're really strange… but you don't seem like a bad person. My name is Sakurai Yuki."

— "A beautiful name… I am Glo— no… I am Kurosaki Koichi."

Yuki felt a little embarrassed after he said her name was beautiful.

This time, Glober began asking different questions, very cautiously:

about greetings,

about friendship,

about why humans smile for no clear reason.

The girl answered, puzzled.

— "You ask really strange questions… even kids know this stuff."

Then she smiled teasingly.

— "You look like you're not even from this planet."

At that moment…

Koichi's body shuddered.

"This is dangerous. She must not know that I am an alien… I could be killed because of it."

The thoughts piled up inside Glober's mind.

He quickly tried to change the subject.

The girl suddenly looked at her phone.

— "Oh, I'm late… I should head home."

She waved at him.

— "Take care, you strange guy, Koichi."

And she left.

Glober remained standing for a few moments, then looked at his hands.

"I must be more careful with what I say…

Humans have terrifying observational skills…

I need to adapt to human life quickly before my identity is discovered."

"But this body… is limited."

"Fatigue accumulates rapidly."

After checking Koichi's memories and confirming the location, he decided to return to Kurosaki Koichi's home.

Not because humans normally did so…

but because this body needed rest.

And Tokyo?

It was still filled with things he did not understand.
