Chapter 8 - chapter 8 Totu’s Ordeal in the Fairy World

The moon was high in the sky, and stars shone brightly in the shadowed heavens. Totu and Toku were completely relaxed under the moonlight.

The teacher came and saw the two of them with happy expressions. He also sat on one of the reclining chairs and spoke, his voice carrying gentleness,

"Totu, tell me about your journey. Were you happy on this journey?" the teacher asked.

Totu sat on the reclining chair, closed his eyes, and gently stroked Toku's fur. Toku calmly lay on Totu's stomach, completely relaxed. When Totu heard the teacher's question, he thought about escaping countless times from the hands of the butterfly soldiers—and most importantly, the five fairies princesses.

When he thought about those five butterfly fairies princess, anger rose from the bottom of Totu's stomach. He slowly opened his eyes, maintained a calm expression, and slowly he took a deep breath.

When Toku heard the teacher's voice, he jumped onto the teacher's reclining chair and sat on the teacher's stomach. Toku knew Totu was blaming him. Because of him, Totu had nearly been captured this time. That was why Toku had insisted on reaching a safe place earlier—but Totu still blamed him for it but that's not problem, Toku looked at Totu and smiled cunningly. Totu noticed Toku's plan and snorted softly.

Totu turned his face toward the shadowed sky, looking at the moon and stars, and spoke claim voice,

"This journey was very interesting. But those five butterfly fairies princess are determined to capture me. Teacher, you already know—last time, those five butterfly fairies unexpectedly captured me. I fell into their trap, and they tortured me day and night. Now they are again trying to capture me. Hmph But who am I? I am the White Gost—the nightmare of the Butterfly Fairies World. How could I fall into their traps a second time?"

Totu spoke proudly. But then his pride faded. He looked at the shadowed sky with a solemn expression, closed his silver-blue eyes, shook his head, opened them again, and said,

"I didn't gain anything this time. All paths were blocked. There were countless traps, and they were alert all the time. I had not even a single point of advantage."

Totu finished speaking and fell silent.

When the teacher heard all this, he showed no reaction. He also looked toward the shadowed sky with calm gray eyes. But when Totu said he didn't gain anything, an interested expression appeared on the teacher's face.

"Interesting. But why didn't you gain anything?"

The teacher asked in a questioning tone. Normally, no matter how many traps or secret places there were, Totu always gained something. Even with higher difficulty, Totu usually obtained something. Last time he was unexpectedly captured; this time he narrowly escaped—yet he gained nothing. The teacher wanted to know Totu's thoughts.

When Totu heard the teacher's question, his face showed pain. He said,

"Because those five little farires puppies targeted me by any means. They even went to extreme lengths to capture me. No matter what, they only wanted to capture me."

The teacher asked again,

"Okay, they always want to capture you—that's normal. You usually escape. But why are they so determined this time? That is what I don't understand."

He looked at Totu, trying to see if Totu knew something or could explain their sudden behavior.

Totu understood the teacher's concern and said,

"Those five little puppies… last time, they unexpectedly deployed a large number of soldiers and newly created formations. I didn't expect that. When I realized it, I had already fallen into their trap. They captured and tortured me. Those days—I don't want to remember them."

Totu's face turned angry as he remembered the beautiful yet cunning faces of the five butterfly fairies.

The teacher listened and asked,

"Capturing you is their duty—that's normal. But what I don't understand is why they were determined to torture you. As far as I know, they are gentle and elegant. They are the pride of the Butterfly Fairy Clans. Torturing you damages their status , reputation and nobility. Why would they ignore their status and go that far? Why did their behavior change so suddenly?"

He noticed Totu's complicated expression and asked directly,

"Totu, I think you know something about their sudden change toward you. Do you know anything?"

Totu's face turned red. He knew the reason behind the five butterfly fairies princess' sudden changeed behavior—it was because of him. What he did was not extreme, but still… they wanted revenge, tortured him before, and now wanted revenge again.

Totu stood up from the reclining chair and looked at the teacher's curious gaze. Toku also looked at Totu playfully. Totu closed his eyes, took a deep breath, calmed himself, and spoke slowly,

"Teacher… I did something, but not to the extent that they should take such extreme revenge."

The teacher said,

"Ohhh, so you did something first. That explains their sudden change and their desire for revenge."

His tone was curious, but his expression remained calm.

Totu heard the meaning behind the teacher's words and replied righteously,

"Teacher, I did something, but it wasn't serious. I don't know why they want revenge again and again. They tortured me—you know that. Now we are even. I did something, and they did something to me. But they still want revenge. That is unreasonable."

The teacher listened calmly and said,

"Hmm. First, tell me exactly what you did. Then we will discuss the rest."

Totu hesitated for a moment, thought about what he did, and spoke righteously,

"This all started when I went to the Butterfly Fairys World . They chased me ruthlessly. I don't know how many hours I ran, but they didn't give up. They kept chasing me. I escaped with difficulty and hid myself. I was very angry at that time, and I wanted to teach them a lesson…"

Totu paused.

The teacher spoke calmly,

"Mmm. You wanted to teach them a lesson? Tell me—how did you teach them that lesson?"

The teacher asked playfully.

When Totu heard the teacher's playful tone, he felt a little embarrassed.
