Chapter 2 - The Patriarch’s Newborn Son

Qin Feng slowly opened his eyes for the first time after reincarnation.

Bright light entered his vision, making him instinctively blink. What he saw next shocked him.

A woman and a man stood closest to him, their faces clear, healthy, and full of life. Around them were several people dressed like maids, neat and respectful. Every person in the room looked clean, well-fed, and wealthy.

But more importantly—

The man and woman looking at him were smiling. Their eyes sparkled like stars as they stared at him with warmth and joy.

Before Qin Feng could think further, a man suddenly stepped forward. He gently held Qin Feng's tiny hand and pricked his finger with a thin silver pin.

Pain surged instantly.

Qin Feng felt anger rise in his heart, but before he could express it, his body reacted on its own.

"Waaaah—!"

He cried loudly.

The room froze for a moment… then erupted.

"He cried!"

"Young master cried!"

"Hahaha! He's healthy!"

Laughter and joy filled the room. The atmosphere became livelier than ever.

Qin Feng was stunned.

I… cried?

Only then did he realize the truth.

I've reincarnated… as a baby.

Memories from his past life surged back. Slowly, he understood the situation. The man and woman who had been looking at him so lovingly were his parents in this life.

His father—Wang Yun, the Patriarch.

His mother—Madam Wang Xinyi, the Patriarch's wife.

And the old man standing nearby, smiling in a strangely frightening way…

That must be Elder Lu, Qin Feng thought. The Tenth Elder of the Eternal Flame Sect.

Later that day, another elder arrived.

Elder Mu Ziyan, the sect's alchemist.

She carried Qin Feng carefully and placed him into a pool filled with shimmering spiritual water. The liquid was warm and gentle, filled with dense spiritual energy.

"This spiritual water will remove impurities, cleanse his meridians, and purify his blood vessels," Elder Mu Ziyan said calmly.

Qin Feng felt strange sensations spreading through his body. It was painful at first, but quickly turned soothing. His tiny body absorbed the energy naturally.

While the purification continued, Elder Mu Ziyan focused her spiritual sense, attempting to verify Qin Feng's bloodline—an ancient method passed down from the old era.

Her expression slowly changed.

Confusion.

Shock.

Uncertainty.

When the process ended, Elder Mu Ziyan immediately went to report to the Patriarch.

"Congratulations, my lord," she said respectfully. "Your son possesses a bloodline from the old era."

In an instant, Wang Yun stood up. His expression turned ecstatic.

"Hahaha! Excellent! Truly excellent!"

Joy flooded his face. He was already thinking of a grand celebration.

"My lord," Elder Mu Ziyan added.

Wang Yun paused. "What is it?"

"Your son's old-era bloodline…" she hesitated, "…is unknown."

Silence fell across the room.

Wang Yun's smile froze.

"Unknown?" he repeated. "What do you mean by unknown? All cultivators possess old-era bloodlines. It only represents how powerful they will become in the future."

Elder Mu Ziyan shook her head slowly.

"No, my lord. This one is different. His bloodline does not match any record."

"It cannot be measured."

"And its future… cannot be predicted."
